Enjoy the following squad, which would probably one of the most exciting in the PL next season if it ever came to fruition

    Sold:
    Rudd 0.45m, Camp Free, Barnett 1.8m, Ayala 0.45m, K.Smith 0.875m, Tettey 3.1m, Surman 1.8m, E.Bennett 1.8m, Butterfield 0.875m, Jackson Free, Holt 3.5m, Vaughan 1.3m, Becchio 2.2m

    Sold Players Revenue = £18.15m
    Transfer Budget = £20m
    Updated Transfer Budget = £38.15m - ENTIRELY SPENT :smiley-finger007:

    New Signings:
    Ben Davies (LB, Swansea...2.5x) = 3.25m
"Davies has enjoyed a spectacular breakthrough season at Swansea City having been thrust into the first team...played 36 Premier League games this season...fully-fledged Welsh international"

Nacho Fernandez (CB, Real Madrid B...1.5x) = 4.65m
"One of only 3 to be promoted by Jose Mourinho this season to the first team, along with Morata and Jesus...saw him on Sky, looks a real talent"

    Liam Bridcutt (DM, Brighton...2x) = 2.2m
"Needs no introduction...basically Brighton's best player and would solve our DM issues...played 41 games in the Championship this season"

    Thorgan Hazard (LM, Chelsea B) = 1.95m
"Hazard has helped transform them from a mid-table side to challengers for Belgium's top honour...Zulte are currently going toe to toe with perennial challengers Anderlecht in the play-offs, after securing a top four place to battle it out for the title...For his contribution to that, Hazard is becoming a big star in his own right, earning call-ups to Belgium's under-21 side. Signed from Lens last summer, Thorgan Hazard is now 20-years-old, and plays on the left-wing. For his loan side he has scored three goals, and provided seven assists. Their article described the younger Hazard as 'one of the great discoveries of the season'...Lightening fast...We are in need of a highly-technically-skilled pacy winger and especially the left side, where he plays"

Luis Alberto (LW, Barcelona B on loan from Sevilla...1.5x) = 6.6m
"Alberto scored 11 goals in the Segunda Division and had 18 assists in a stellar debut season for Barcelona B...essentially he is Robin to GD's Batman...Seriously good prospect!"

Gerard Deulofeu (RW, Barcelona B...1.5x) = 19.5m - meet Ricky's new strike partner
"Gerard Deulofeu scored 18 goals (27 apps) in the Segunda Division and had 8 assists last season...From the famous La Masia, this Spanish wonderkid has caught attention from world class managers and clubs, such as Rafa Benitez, Manchester City and Chelsea. Despite his young age, he has recorded amazingly 62 caps for Barcelona B, and in the last two years he has recorded 27 goals and showed his potential to be the future winner of Fifa Ballon D'Or. He participated in 2011 and 2013 in the UEFA European Championship by helping Spain Under-19 to win the tournament both years. In 2012 he won the prestigious award Golden player of UEFA Under-19 Championship, where he scored 2 goals and having 3 assists...Very versatile player in the attacking line...He is very quick when running with the ball and is an exceptional dribbler who often terrorizes the opponents defensive line with his creativity and speed...Despite lacking a little in strength he has very good balance and first touch which is important when being closing down...He has scored some remarkable goals in his career and has a real eye for the goal mostly because of his world-class flair to cut in from wide."

    Team for 13/14:

Luis Alberto - Van Wolfswinkel - Gerard Deulofeu

    Howson - Bridcutt - Snodgrass

    Davies - Bassong - Turner - Whittaker

    Ruddy

    Subs:
    Bunn (GK)
    Nacho Fernandez (CB)
    Russell Martin (RB/CB)
    Johnson (DM)
    Hoolahan (AM)
    Pilkington (LM)
    Thorgan Hazard (LW)

    Squad:
    Garrido (LB)
    Ryan Bennett (CB)
    Fox (CM)
    Jacob Murphy (Wing)
    Josh Murphy (Wing)

    ---

In summary, squad of 23, with a few additions for LB, CB, DM, LM, LW, RW, Striker.

This is extremely strong, just look at that bench!!!

I like that squad golden, just wondering whether the youth could cause a problem? very few signings over 20. Having said that, I wouldn't say no to many!

Don't think youth would be an issue, our main striker RvW is well seasoned having played all over Europe. Young wingers are commonplace these days, look at Ince, Walcott, Zaha, etc. Bridcutt and Davies have solid full season under their belts. Yes Hazard is still probably a bit raw, but Eden, his brother rates him as a better prospect than himself!

Alberto is definitely within our price range, and with 18 assists and 11 goals, that is a breathtaking return from just 35 games! If I had to pick one of the above to come true, this would be my choice. Thanks btw :)

Cheeky use of the 'B' teams in the 'Big 5' leagues there Golden! Avoids bigger multipliers but will DH allow it!? :emoticon-0105-wink:

Anyone else get the feeling that Johnson could be next years Fox? He's in the running for POTS but nearly everyone wants to drop him!

As far as I'm concerned, Barcelona B play in the second division, so you're ok there!

The B teams are technically not in the Big 5 :emoticon-0100-smile

Aren't the rules - take whichever club they are playing for as the basis for the multiplier?

I'm with you here. I was just thinking that in reality the transfer fees would go to Real Madrid/Barca/Chelsea proper (not to mention the fact that if the 'B teams' in Spain for example were allowed to be promoted, they would almost certainly be in the top division).

For the purposes of this experiment/game though I understand that it's fine of course.

We'd do well to get Deulofeu, he's just signed a new contract at barca til 2017!

Thorgan Hazard would cost at least £20m im afraid Golden.

Eden, reckons Thorgan is even more talented than he is which is saying a lot considering Eden has been one of the most exciting players in the league this season!

Chelsea would never let him ago, but a premier league loan could be on the cards, perhaps?

Apparently, there is another younger brother, Kylian, who is better than both of his elder brothers, "He has the same explosive pace that takes him past players, and he can turn a game with something no-one else could do. But there was always a problem with his attitude. He had no concept of discipline or applying himself. There was one youth game here where, midway through the second half, the coach realised he was a player short. ‘It was Kylian, and he had just wandered off. We found him sitting in a tree, and when we asked why, he just shrugged his shoulders and said he was fed up of playing.'"

Couple more tweaks to mine. Removed Davies and brought in two defenders instead to offer a bit more depth.
