What a win! Great game, the tactics were spot on and we looked very dangerous on the break. Disappointed with how dirty Chelsea were at times, there was a clear stamp on Morris, amongst other things. They hardly covered themselves in glory, especially in contrast to McGeehan, who I thought was everything a captain should be. At full time he was shaking the hands of the Chelsea lads and the ref, and walked off alone to clap the Chelsea fans who stayed. Very impressive, mature head there.

The quality of our attacking play was so nice to see, a couple of delightful through balls and the third goal was so well worked.

Let's get the bus out, surely??

Absolutely agree <ok> McGeehan played brilliantly and took his pens well over the 2 legs. But as a person and the example he set was different class. I hope he gets his chance at the big time for that alone. Fantastic to see our club bringing players like him through

I'd say they'll need to fine tunes some of the skills but their young give them a year or two some of them will be getting into the squad. Movement and intelligence wise their well up there in my opinion, that third goal was an absolutely class bit of counter attacking football.

Well done fellas. Clearly means a lot to you this competitions and shown as you took about 2500 fans to the Bridge! A cracking attendance of 20,000+ at your place and an attendance of 17,000+ at ours... We've both done the competition proud. Well played over the two legs... Had our finishing been better then maybe it would have gone to extra time but congrats lads <ok>

Good week for you! Winning this and staying up! Chuffed for you.. Top club <ok>

Awesome result and how well played was that match. Must be a binners worst nightmare senior squad survive in the prem and the youth FA cup. Should keep them quiet for a few days at least <ok>

Looking over the FA youth cup results posted above, and this is purely at an initial glance, there seems to be a correlation between youth success and further first team success five to ten years down the line. I'm looking at our poor, miserable, wrong end of the A140 friends, our own FA youth cup in 1983, etc.

Jeremy Goss was in the 1983 team. I think Josh Murphy made the bench for one of the cup matches this year, but it may have just been inclusion in the squad. Quite a coup for Neil Adams as well. He certainly has them well organised. Well done to all the lads and to Neil! <cheers>

It was a brilliant performance against some very good players, I think it will mirror how the first team will play next year, pacey direct wingers.

just got back from the bridge. WHAT AN AMAZING GAME! Our lads were immense, and even though the chelsea boys had good technical ability, the sheer punch and drive of our boys was more than equal to it. The murphy boys are thrilling to watch, and the space they were finding towards the end was great to see. Sure they have got the decision making right all the time yet, but everything else is clearly bedding in nicely.

WHAT A BRILLIANT DAY TO BE YELLOW!

As a side note I was always confident that McGeehan would score that pen, our Neyul is a past master and has obviously shown his lads how to take 'em. This was also evident in the shoot out against Florist when we didn't miss one <ok>

P.S. Could our Neyul be our next manager in waiting ?

    Superb effort massive well done
I remember when crouch joined norwich on loan and stated it was the best training facilities he has been to
And that must be proof today, nch don't have a bottomless amount of funds like most but have a great system going.
The only question is will most of them make it as most youth cup winners
Don't often make it bar a few

    Well done tho norwich

What a terrific refreshing performance. Great to see Delia and CH present as well as some 3,000 travelling fans. Great advertisement for the club and hopefully some prospects for the future. Once the Murphys have the maturity to make better decisions as to when to pass and when to shoot they will be awesome. They are pretty decent now!

Great match last night fantastic performance from all the lads. Got to say the Murphy's not only counter-attacked brilliantly, they did the dirty-work (tracking back, harrying the opposition) as well. Thought our right back was excellent as well as the two centre-halves (noone had a bad game). Only disappointment was I ended up among the Chelsea fans (although they were so quiet I didn't know they were there!).

Whilst on the topic of youth, I found this report on the quality of academies in England:

We're =23rd, which higlights just how well the current crop have done. Also, we have apparently developed 3 players currently in the big 5 leagues, can anyone name all 3?
