Nothing wrong with that glam. In fact I think Watford, rather than Palace, will be easier to get to from Swansea.
Watford for me. Most of their loanees will disappear leaving them as a disrupted, vulnerable team - hopefully the second relegation spot taken after Cardiff. If Palace go up they will want to hang on to Jon Williams but might want to cash in on him if they fail. We could be in with a chance of signing him and I believe that Michael Laudrup could improve his game out of sight. He's home grown and would fit our system like a glove. Joe Allen Mk II? (The one that played for us, NOT the Liverpool version).
Forgetting self interest and just looking at it morally - and on the basis of consistency - we should be rooting for Palace. We all moaned when Cardiff tried to get promoted using 8 loanees and Watford have used a hell of a lot more. It's actually prompted a change in the rules so it doesn't happen next season. It may have been perfectly legal but there's something just plain wrong about this practice, and that's now been acknowledged by the authorities.
I agree with you in moralistic terms but when it comes to the Swans I tend to become tunnel visioned and self interest is paramount for me.
