The statement from the Goons today that the Indians have made an insultingly low offer (and insulted them still further by failing to put it in writing) says a lot to me. If Eccles was genuinely interested in QPR, he'd have complained the offer was insulting FULL STOP. The fact that he doesn't, says to me this ownership dispute is all about a fair value for the newly promoted club - NW is part of the club and I feel his position is safe - the Goons and the Mittals have to fight it out in front of the press for control of QPR. The Mittals have to make the Goons an offer that is just too good for them to turn down. Contrary to some views, I don't think the Mittals have lost - the game has only just begun...
Can't help wondering how this leaves Sir Neil in his preparations & quest for new signings leading up to the new season.
We are already falling behind Norwich have signed James Vaughan from Everton http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12875_6955189,00.html and put a bid in apparently for Steve Morrison from Millwall. Morrison has since put in a transfer request.
