From what I have seen of Zaha in all televised games and FLS he has been fairly average, this game is certainly no exception
So one player SAF buys for an eight digit figure, the other one he sells for £2m......... I wonder who knows more about those players?
Zaha is a **** ****, and he should **** off back to whatever Third World dump he jumped on a banana boat to escape. PS. I'd take Brady
I think Zaha's price tag was reflecting his potential value in 5 years time, rather than his current value. We're talking about who we'd rather have in our team now, so their current ability. I think Brady offers more to the team at the minute. No doubt Zaha will one day make a very good player. Also bare in mind zaha is registered to play for England which multiplies his value 5x.
I thought he was poor until bolasie came on. Good movement for the header but it was all about the ball in. The turn and finish was very nice though. Wish he didn't dive around so much, just like the rest of the Palace team.
Alex Ferguson, one of the greatest managers of all time, sells Brady for £2m and buys Zaha for £15m. If that doesn't tell you anything then I don't know what will.
What should it tell you? Zaha is clearly the better player but he isnt 7.5 times the player. I would take Zaha over Brady sell his ass and buy 3 or 4 really good players. As good as Zaha might be, he just is not worth having on a team.
Brady has more potential but in my opinion he still has a long way to go... I know lots are already ****ing over him but his crosses, corners and free kicks are still heavily inaccurate.. and he sometimes tries to do too much with the ball. I do think he can work on those and become a very good player but in my book he's barely half way there.
He managed to get 13 assists, the 2nd highest in the division (Ince got 14) playing as a wing-back and he wasn't even here for the first 2 months of the season, so his crossing can't be that bad!
Brady. Zaha is overrated and not worth £5m nevermind £15m. If i were David Moyes i would be asking for Man Utds money back. In fact Aluko is better than Zaha imo. Aluko has flown under the PL radar and still does. We must use that to our advantage at the start of the season before the PL get wise to him.
Zaha is a better player than Brady. He is not worth the money that Man U paid (imo) but he will be going to a club that have strict 'teamwork' rules (unless Moyes changes them) and will become a better player. Brady is like a young Bernard Mendy and prefers to try and take on and beat his marker rather than keep the game flowing with defence splitting passes and/or pin-point crosses. He was better than average in the Championship but could be even better in the EPL IF he gets someone with him to work to, work off and work with. This season he has had to work alone on many occasions.
The Brady and Quinn partnership has probably been the most successful within our team all season and it's been discussed on here many times. Strange you'd say that about Brady not having someone to work off.
I never thought I'd agree with Andy king's bollocks but you have to defer to SAF's footballing knowledge and say that Zaha is well ahead of Brady atm...
The question wasn't which of the two is the better player but which would you rather have at the club. I choose Brady on the grounds that he has: shown us what he can do shown he has a good work ethic shown he can learn -- he came back a much more complete player than last season fits in well with the team and the system that Bruce plays adapts to different roles Zaha is talented but temperamental. But I have only seen him when he has played against us or snippets on TV. On that basis I would pick Brady for my team.
I have not seen enought of what Zaha has done but I think Brady is fantastic, and the passion and tears that were displayed last Saturday were more than enought to convince me he is one we will be proud to have next year.
