Looks like Watford v Palace in the final . Shaha with two cracking goals has put paid to Brighton's ambition, Holloway may get another chance in the PL after all

I would have liked to have seen Brighton up as well, they play some good football, and Orlandi has had a great season there. I would prefer Watford to win the final, I like Zola, and wanted him at the liberty, but we ended up with Sousa, the Watford posters are a tidy bunch on here too, hope they make it!...........<ok>

And the incredible run of Dobbie's consecutive play off finals continues. 4 finals with 3 different teams!

SD, take a bow. I doubt your record will ever be beaten.

One of my mates is from Croydon and supports Palace - he used to come down here when we were in the Championship...so I want Watford <laugh>

Thats going to be a quiz question in years to come about Dobbie. Holloway must love him.

It's just a pity that SD wasn't good enough at PL level. Did a great job for us and was instrumentall in getting us to the PL <ok>

I really like Palace as a team.
They have a lot of good young players and play attractive attacking football.

I think they will go up (if they do Dougie Freedman should be spewing, what a strange decision by him at the time!) but hope Watford do simply because...
    1) Palace have the potential to do a Southampton if they go up = more stiff competition for us
    2) We might be able to purchase someone like Bolasie or Jonnie Williams

Watford could be a danger mind Terror. They have links to Udinese etc and could bring some useful talent over.

They have turned a corner quickly. The last 2 years in the Championship, they were one of the worst teams I saw....but not half as bad as Colemans Coventry.

    Very true.
If I was a Palace fan though I would be licking my lips at having the money to be holding on to players like Bolasie and Williams whilst adding the necessary experience and squad depth with promotion to the Prem.

I think the Udinese link (if Watford go up) will prove more useful to them in the Championship than the Prem.

There's been a few ranklings about that link - not sure if they will get away with it in the Prem - if they get there.

Yeah, when we were there they were struggling weren't they, and had money problems....but even then I thought they had a couple of youngsters with potential.
Dougie Freedman found some cheap supplementary players (Moxey for example, was **** at Derby but looked solid enough tonight) welded them into a team....and then leaves when they've made an excellent start to the season and are sitting 2nd!
Holloway has come in and added more experience (e.g. Phillips and Dobbie) and is on the verge of getting them over the finishing line....and the sale of Zaha seems to have steadied the ship financially.

Funny how a few good decisions can transform the fortunes of a football club so quickly.
Of course, they've got to beat Watford first
