    At least I'm trying to be realistic. Gordon wont play, he is out for a long time. Ned not coming back, Downing and Sturridge wont come and Shawcross wont come

    we don't know anything yet,

    money talks, and none off them are out of reach,( i hope)

    we are linked with n'zog, and who knows whatelse, so why not downing and sturridge.

    and why could we not tempt shawcross?

    as for gordon, we'll have to wait and see.....

    If we play Sess behind a front two, perhaps giving him licence to roam, I think we will need two defensive midfield players and a hardworking wideman. In addition when away from home or against the top sides I think we will need one up front and a five man midfield.
    The more I'm thinking about it I think we need a pretty big, flexible squad able to adapt almost on a game by game basis and that's without the impact of injuries and suspensions. This is probably unrealistic and what we need to set our sights on is another season of steady development. Unless Ellis spashes the cash big time.
