It's a thing though pal, in everyday life, I'm positive as ****, have a great life, self confident. Matchday, I smoke like a blue rinse nanna needing 2 for a full house, I shout at everyone, and I swear uncontrollably under my breath. You all know how big a bearing football has on a fans life, and I swear, my team is a ****ing curse, that part of your life you have no power over that ****s up your chi every week. ****ing love it though, I'd rather be in this **** than be a WBA, sitting there, losing every week as there's nowt to play for. Or fighting for CL of course, that I would like, maybe in 35 years or so we can push for 7th.
You don't think that's asking too much? Good description of me in the 80th minute of the Stoke game with the score still tied, and us starting to bomb away from 40 yards. The smoking I mean, not the blue rinse nanna.
Even more amazing how loudly I shout at the tv ... like they are gonna hear my pearls of wisdom ... "score please...for the love of god score...I'll even sacrifice my first born if we beat stoke" Needless to say first born weren't impressed
Them stats are wrong mate, its missed out our win against Everton after we played Newcastle. Anyways, it will be a straight forward easy win for you boys. We have Rose, Wes Brown, Cattermole, Sessegnon, Gardner and Fletcher all out with suspensions and injuries. 4-0 to Spurs.
My team: Lloris Vertonghen Dembele Lennon, Adebayor, Defoe, Dempsey, Obika, Sigurdsson, Holtby, Bale, 1-1-8 formation. If Chelsea lose and we score about 15 we can nab 3rd (or 4th depending on how Arsenal do in their remaining two fixtures).
Di Canio has said today he will not accept us coasting through this game, if the players do then they will only have 28 days off after the game, instead of the 42 days they are usually given. Still don't think it will make much difference to the game but its very pleasing as a Sunderland fan to hear this kind of statement and good for the fans going down. Pardews statement: I don't care if Arsenal beat us 4-0 now, it doesn't matter.
Says a fair bit about the mindsets of each manager, I think. I'm actually quite happy that Pardew was stupid enough to make that sort of comment though, as he's now under pressure to get a performance from his side. He hasn't managed one of those for months, unfortunately.
I think that was said in the heat of the moment because they were safe from the drop,i don't think he really means that, but we shall see on Sunday
Or perhaps he does kind of mean it and the retraction was just to please the fans/board/media... I doubt they'll put up much of a fight personally.
The Geordies have Webb. We're screwed. Probably takes him out of the U21s game at Old Trafford, though. At least I bloody hope it does.
If you let us win and the Geordies beat Arsenal, Levy will give you one of Bentley, Gomes and Gallas. How's that for motivation?
They're due, then! They've been saving up. I'm also glad Pardew made the comment. If he hadn't, they were absolutely certain to roll over. His bizarre comments add a little dose of unpredictability. Chances they'll roll over are still high, but there's more of a chance they'll play hard. Interesting Arsenal are ending the season just the way we started, with Newcastle away. I wouldn't mind if they bettered our result by exactly one point.
