Yes on the back of somebody prepared to spend money on it. I didn't really care which one won the match as such but in true English spirit I backed the underdog along with several million other people. Somebody explain to me how you can pay a set of blokes several hundred thousand a week and they act like they aren't that interested in what they are being paid for. That sums MC up today for me. Wigan wanted it and that was the difference. Taxi for Mancinni anyone? He said at the end that the speculation was just rubbish. Any bets he is gone by the end of the month.

It won't be a happy place for City fans as United celebrate winning the League in Manchester this week.

City have got a million miles to go in football before they can even think of emulating their neighbours. I haven't much time for United but you cannot deny their success over a long period now. That isn't just fluke and it's not their fault that they have a large plastic following. I suspect a lot who come from Manchester don't like the coat tail hangers much either. It's time you were able to sack a player rather than always a manager. Too comfortable in their mansions and no fire in the belly the majority of them.

Whatever your thoughts on Man U are....you couldn't watch those post-match celebrations and Alec Fergusons farewell without being drawn to watching.

I bet you couldn't find a Man C fan out and about for love or money yesterday.......a new manager by the end of the week in Manuel Pellegrini as well by the sounds of it.

We really need to spare a thought for the poor guys at Sky Sports having to totally reschedule next seasons program list by 10 minutes now Fergie time has gone.

As for poor Howard Webb the bank is forclosing on his mortgage as we speak..

Bit controvercial there mexijan? I don't know what you could be suggesting.

The Man City thing really makes me laugh. It is going to start emulating the Chelsea thing which is overpay the players by thousands and sack and blame the manager when the softies don't win. You would think by now that the Man U thing might have just become obvious. Stand by your man and don't pannick Mr Mainwaring. City will become the new Chelsea with a revolving door in the manager's office because the owners want to buy instant success rather than let somebody build something.

I found ten Man City supporters hiding in my garden.....waiting until Man U finish their procession through the City today.......I phoned the council ratcatcher and he came and took them away.....never been my favourite colour blue.

That must be the biggest non shock in football plym. Players never suffer ever.

Second in the PL and FA cup final seen as failure, how I wish we were that bloody useless!!!!

Perhaps old big head will be back in the UK but in a lighter blue, now that really would melt the plastics.

Coming second means nothing compared with being subjected to United parading through the streets last night with the Premiership trophy......that must hurt.....and now goodbye to their manager exactly to the day when they won the trophy last year.

ps.......maybe we could introduce them to real failure..........but of course thousands of them would disappear off the radar....only support a winning team.

Wise words for PAFC Sensible, wise words for when Sheridan falls out of favour in 6 months' time.

I wouldn't be too hasty in hoping to emulate Wigan. Without any disrespect to Brent, Wigan have what must be the best qualified owner in the whole of Europe: an ex professional football player who is also a hugely successful businessman. Not many of those around....

Not sure being ex-pro is a good or bad thing tbh. Passion and wallet he can find when needed is a bonus though.
