I think you will find John there there does exist some antipathy towards Wigan Warriors from Wigan Athletic fans although I would be surprised it was to the extent it is in Hull.

Talking to Preston fans and they have issues with Rugby fans (I forget which though) and they mentioned similar around Warrington and St Helens. They also got pissed off with the local press not reporting the crowd trouble at the games.

Believe it or not that post was not aimed at you.

For once you’re talking sense and quite possibly the voice of reason on the subject. I agree with just about all you've posted on this thread.

It was aimed those resorting to cheap insults, ill-informed opinions and petty squabbling.

in what way is RL (in the super league) skilful? the general idea is when you get the ball run strait forward... the sport itself has a few good moments but they are fleeting.

its a silly franchised league with some silly rules, i mean whats with the scrum? your not even allowed to challenge for the ball? and you score a try/convertion and guess what we'll make it easier for you to run away with the game by giving you the ball strait back.

i suggest if anyone wants to watch RL to try and catch the NRL, much faster and technically better that the tosh people on the m62 watch.

And he's not the only player capable of this, there are many great team efforts (trys).

    Whilst I take your point, the concept of promotion/relegation is far less common than a closed system like in RL, take the top 10 team sports in the world;

Football, Cricket, Basketball, Baseball, Rugby Union, Field Hockey, Volleyball, Ice Hockey, American Football, Rugby League.

Only football, Rugby Union (in slected countries) and Cricket (again only in certain countries) have promotion/relegation.

So while it may not be your cup of tea it's a concept that's widely used and enjoyed by millions, not just RL fans along the M62 corridor.

That's only because most of those sports are American and they're a bit daft.

At the time, I thought he was acting on behalf of the Allams to get more control over the KC Stadium.

Until then he had never shown any interest in RL.

Will we ever know if he was buying it at the behest of the Allams?

    Tomkins is a dirty cheat.

If you'd put up Charnley i'd agree with you. The kid's class.

Think I don't get is FC fans saying AA bought the club so he could get hold of the KC. If that was the case why didn't he wait a few days until the club went into administration and save tons of cash? Not sure if it was true, but I think they paid off £27m of dead money to the taxman and two banks.

i want Both Hull City and the two rugby clubs to do well , i always used to enjoy watching League as a kid but i hardly ever played with mates unlike football.

One traumatic thing when i was a kid was a load of us were playing rugby on Cunny Field and i "handed off" the brother of the girl i really fancied - i bust all his nose up .
Total accident and i never went to Boulevard School dico with the lass hahaa .

    F-ing Rugby

Over on the FC forum they're all doing a bit of back slapping and congratulating themselves on me no longer responding to their questions, the thick ****s don't even realise that their pissy moderators have banned me.

So if they come on here, Dobbin you thick ****, I'm 48, I haven't posted on the HDM site for years(mainly because it's full of ******s like you) and I go to almost every City game home and away.

And Kosh, you're a pissy pant little ****er.

There's a few on there that got involved in reasoned debate, the rest were just dumb as ****.

At the time it was the right system for the game, and it hasn't really been given time to fail before it's discarded.

Why do so many rugby fans support their local rugby team and also a non-local football team ? Wouldn't they be shocked at people from Hull supporting Wigan , St Helens , etc etc ?

Well after extensive research it seems that some Wigan rugby fans are not happy that Wigan won the FA Cup and hope they get relegated so it seems that the problem is with some egg chasing fans with a huge chip on their shoulder.
Very educational for me, I had no idea that rugby league fans were so bitter, you learn summat new every day eh
