Its nerves mate, take the everton game, cracking atmosphere, i was horse, yesterday i was ****ting myself and hardly chanted all game tbh, little bursts as were most, stood glued to what a spanking all over the park, if it wasnt for the mig (again) we'd have got stuffed. I don't say it lightly, and it does hurt me to say it, but the fact is for one reason our level of vocal support is fast becoming a standing joke with other fans..When Southampton fans started to sing 'your support is ****ing ****', I found that myself agreeing with them and that hurts.. It's alright saying it was nerves etc, but it has been a worrying trend for a good while now..
Aye and we have had nowt but ****e for a fair while. Constantly top six in the crowd stakes. It's about time we had a team to match.
Coz we've had bott all to get excited about, i would consider myself to be a chanter and i think the sw & south usually make a decent effort tbf, you occassionaly hear the north and part of the west but hardly anything from the east, the south will be louder next season by a mile i reckon
I think our away fans always do us proud. Always loud and proud. Home games have been different 'cos we've only won 5 all season. We expect more. BTW, no one should knock MrRAW, he's a true supporter (in every sense of the word) in my experience on here, he rarely misses a game.
Not knocking MrRA...He is indeed a true fan and a long time on these boards. Just gets my goat when told how to react. To me if a team is **** over a prolonged period they need to be told...40 years is long enough IMO.
