I know hindsight is foresight for ****ers but with the benefit of hindsight it was pretty clear that with the new Celtic Park and the infrastructure put in place when our club was saved from being wiped out that we were coming back strongly. The closer title runs leading up to our title win in 98 told the Huns. That it wasn't going to last. Knowing what we know now, they were borrowing against borrowed money since the mid 80's. The fact that you and I are paying for Ironside's fiscal lunacy is testament to that. After finding out just some of the **** they were pulling I was convinced they were ****ed and am shocked that they managed to last until 2012. It wasn't intended as arrogance although I can see it may appear that way. Sevco will never challenge us. They are a basket case and as Tina suggests, I believe we are more likely to see them in their next incarnation in the league. I don't think anyone else is particularly well set to launch a challenge. It is genuinely not arrogance. It is how I read the situation. Even if we were to downsize even further, there is still a pressure to get into europe that would prevent us falling too far.
