Porto score a 91st minute winner to beat Benfica and pretty much snatch the title from them. Their first league defeat of the season. That means we're entering the final on a high and they are entering it on a low having pretty much blown the league tonight.

Did Benfica put out their reserves today and rest the cream for our meeting in Amsterdam?

No worries mate, on a high here too, Lamps getting the record and qualifying for the CL in the same day is sending me to cloud 9. Now Benfica! we can win this I am convinced of it, shame Hazard is a doubt but then, up steps Oscar.

Artur, Maxi, Luisao, Garay, Almeida, Matic, Enzo, Salvio, Gaitan, John & Lima

Only Cardozo is notably missing and maybe Aimar, but he's more of a squad player now

Dangerous time to be playing them. They will want to win this one for throwing it away. We could be in for a backlash.

Will be tough. Heart says Chelsea but head says we are due a final defeat having won the last 4 proper finals (??). Will be a tight 2-1 either way IMO.

Not really counting it but on that basis we are due a win having lost that, the super cup and the community shield since our last trophy.

    C'mon the chels!!

Agreed, but you could say the same for every team we've played in it this season. It was always going to be a step down from the C.L for us. As long as we can match them for effort, our class should prevail.

Luiz and Ramires playing against former clubs, plus we have a lot of ex-Porto within our ranks and possibly the last final some of our lot will play in for the club.

It's far better to go into any final with a win than with a loss as Benfica are. It's a massive blow Hazard is injured, with a full strength XI we'd have been firm favourites.

As long as Cahill doesn't start I don't mind.

    Is Hazard confirmed out??

Terry looks unlikely to feature either.

Why wouldn't you want Cahill to start DL?

Much rather Cahill did than Ivanovic. Only thing Cahill does wrong is fail to put a tackle in when he should. Ivanovic is extremely error prone at CB.

First choice should be Luiz and then Terry/Cahill.

He's awful, IMO. Midtable player. Fantastic from set pieces and a great ball player but can't defend for ****. The last two games and the Super Cup final is some of the worst defending I've ever seen at this level.

Pulled his Hammy so can't see how he'll be fit. You never know though.
