With little football to interest us until the new season a little teaser for all fans (Posh or otherwise).

Apart from the fact the undermentioned are former Posh players, what other factors link them this season?

    Gk: Jalal

    Def: Morgan, Langmead, Geohaghon, Ralph

    Mid: Whelpdale, Frecklington, Lee, Boyd

    Att: CMS, Mclean

Sub: Lewis, Kearns, Ofori-Twumasi, Diagouraga, Appiah, Crow, Platt

if we cash in on tomlin or gayle could we not get mclean on a season long loan? surely he'll be surplus at hull and if theyre paying his wages it would be win-win for us until we get back in the championship. still think he would do a job in league 1

first post on not606 be gentle with me, utp

Welcome! Good Idea but I don't think so. Budget in L1 is v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v.v tight. We don't need to spending money on McLean when we already have good strikers.

    BTW..
Can you sign up for the Prediction League pl0x? Thanks

if barnett, sinclair, ajose and kearns are all sold, plus rowe and zakuani as they enter the last year of their contracts and want to move on im beginning to worry about out prospects of promotion next season. add to that potentially tomlin and gayle being sold, mccann and little not signing their new contracts and payne opting not to sign for us, we could be left particularly threadbare.

we would obviously need to sign new players but does the remainder of the squad have the quality to challenge for the league 1 title next season?

Well that has just depressed me :D

.... we'll have to wait & see but think Darren & Darragh like to do their business fairly early so they can take the team to Spain for the week

    patience is a virtue :)

There is much rumour, innuendo and hyperbole floating around, I prefer to wait and see what happens before worrying (I've cleaned my boots just in case though)

i trust fergie and darragh will know who they need to keep and who they want to sign, hopefully any player movements will be concluded before pre-season and fingers crossed we can get the stadium debacle sorted soon, utp

Maybe not so early this year Minxy - a quote from Darragh:

"Business will be done but not so early this year. We are taking our time as not a lot needed to be fair."

Sounds very much as though Tommy Rowe will still be a Posh player next season Minxy:

    http://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/...rule-rowe-out-of-promotion-push-yet-1-5095461

McCann and Little were in the same position last season and stayed.

Also a quote from Dwight Gayle's agent 'he is happy at Peterborough' - It would take a sizeable fee to prise him away, Darragh is looking to
exceed the £8 million that Huddersfield got for Jordan Rhodes, saying 'He (Gayle) is a better all-round player'

minus the 20% sell on fee dagenham would receive, £6-8 million would all but pay for london road, would you invest in the squad, the stadium, pay off some of the debt to darragh or a little bit of each? im sure if a serious bid comes in posh will have some serious thinking to do
