Not wumming here. Over the years Oldham has been seen, perhaps like Blackpool, Preston, Burnley, Nottingham Forest etc as a club which could 'take off' given the right conditions. On the edge of Manchester they can pick up young talent not quite good enough for the local big clubs. It depends on whether you're talking about this very moment in time, or looking at the bigger, historical, picture. At the moment you're a League 1 club just like them, and you've both got 0 points.
We spent 4 years on the top flight, they spent 3 Looking at the historical and bigger picture, right? But clearly on your basis Accrington Stanley are a bigger club than you, looking at the present and the bigger picture, both on 0 points in league 2
Oh dear, now listen carefully! You are conveniently forgetting their League Cup Final and 3 FA Cup semi-finals. At this moment in time we are on a par with AS, but historically we are 'bigger'(horrible expression) than them
Sorry but who cares if they got to an fa cup semi final?? Did they win the thing? Nope. Did they win their league cup final? Nope Yes they were on a top flight for a few years but so were we.. I can understand you'll look at this differently because you dislike City, but to use a famous quote from John Mcenroe.. You cannot be serious?
Actually, I don't dislike City...I like Rovers more. Anyone who knows me from way back will know that my ideal would be Rovers, City, Bristol Rugby, Glos CCC and Somerset CCC all doing well; as well as Yeovil, Cheltenham, Exeter (ok not Swindon) - WEST COUNTRY! But then I get carried away and have to have a laugh! And anyways.....you lot are always banging on about how you reached an FA Cup final in 1785!

Have just noticed something S O'D is in Botswana at the moment looking for footballers in Southern Africa whilst on his hols perhaps, might that be where this Energy rumour comes from?
As a centre back on the basis he didn't know where the opposition net was hell not be able to put anything past our keeper perhaps LOL
Tell him if he spots Bruce Grobelaar down in the bush to sign him up and we can bring back David James as a back up.
