I'm going to throw a name out there....Leigh Griffiths at Hibernian! Scored 28 times this season (in a team second bottom of the league) that's more than the like of Garry Hooper and he is still only 22!
Not a bad shout, but I think he will favour staying at Hibs as Wolves have just gone down. I'd give him a trial first. I'd like to see us go for McArthur if/when Wigan go down, then have a go for a playmaker, like we had in Geovanni.
Junior Hoilett from QPR if his wages/asking price isn't too high. He's a match winner in his own right.
Tall, classy Ex brum now Blackburn defender. arrived at brum after Bruce left so no link there but he's got a pretty good reputation. Not sure he's that much better than Hobbs though to fork out a decent wedge for him.
Has Anthony Pilkington been mentioned on here? Was looking around some bookies earlier and we were third favourite to sign him this summer behind West Ham and someone else who I forget and the markets been withdrawn. Saw him play for Hudds a couple of times and he's a good player, done a decent job for Norwich, think he'd be a pretty good fit here if we went after him.

Bookies have us as 4/1 favourites to sign Phil Neville, and 20/1 to sign Darren Bent, I think it's Chazz who keeps pushing that one, so there's a chance to put your money where your mouth is there!
Espinoza is ok going forward but weak as a defender in say a 4-4-2 set up, plus Brady has the forward role covered .We have greater needs in other positions.As for McManaman there is no chance ,one of the top teams will go for him.
£7m deal according to the sunday people. I would suggest that it would include add ons for goals and our PL survival. Austin is reported to be be on less than £15k a week @ Burnley. I think we can land both Austin and Sako for less than what Rhodes would cost. Nathan Redmond is another name that is being linked with Steve Bruce over the weekend. Austin is on peanuts compared to Jordan Rhodes. Supposed to have agreed a deal to join Swamsea City. Rumoured to be joining DQPR along with Roger Johnson from Wolves as a pairing as Harry re-builds the defence for the championship.
Do we want Charlie Austin? Didn't he score 20 goals by December and end up finishing the Season on 25? Shows he had a purple patch and slowed down. Is he worth gamble? Jordan Rhodes would be a great signing, but I expect he'd cost too much in regards to both transfer fee and wages.
