Coco to get the sack before the end of the season The Tea Boy is a better manager than Coco Moyes is not going to United Mourinho is going to United Mourinho would never consider working for the mad Russian again Chelsea will not beat brilliant Basel Chelsea will not get top 4 under Coco Oh, dear, HIAG, why are you always so wrong? Mind the gap...
That's right. Because I'm the only one who said (or thought) those things. It's all getting a bit thread-bare, now, isn't it?
Poor old HIAG! He means well but I dont think he takes in all the facts and thats why he gets things wrong! He needs more practice!
I never thought i'd say this, but HIAG has a point (bear with me). - Everyone (including yourselves) expected Benitez to get sacked, most of you refused to back him, including the OP who seems to be a giant hypocrite. - I don't knoiw who the tea boy is - Everyone expected fergie to stay on - Nearly everyone expected Mourinho to be Fergie's successor - HIAG got that one wrong - Could have been true, you're massively unpredictable - Didn't look like happening.
How can it when your the forums biggest ****! One thing you should look at is engaging your brain before your fingers hit the keyboard. Seldom have we seen a cretin who is as hell bent as you for making yourself look an utter ****er.
We are traditionally strong finishers unlike bottlers Arsenal/Spurs so the club's team spirit overcomes any poor coaching or management structure and fixture pile up at the end of the season. We win pressure games unlike Arsenal/Spurs We have been mentally strong since Mourinho: Rafa Grant Gourlay etc can't undo that... so far anyway. Tea boy is avb. HIAG Wummed that JM was going to United long after Moyes was odds on favourite to replace Fergie and continues to Wum that Jose will not come to Chelsea. Unlike Arsenal/Spurs we are a very strong cup side so we were likely to overcome Basel Enjoy squeaky bum time and thanks for the annual six points
We've lost that in recent years - since Ancelotti left. I think that's why so many supporters are hankering for Jose's return, so he can give us that mental strength again.
Yep. Hopefully we can stop giving away leads. I think we have been strong mentally in the run-in since Feb while Spurs melted in the league and cups
I couldn't agree more. I don't see that he did anything wrong personally. He would have built something very special given time.
some of our football with him at the helm was blinding should have been given more time both Ramires and Luiz were his signings and both are important parts of this young team we are building.
Ancellotti has also made a good job of PSG. He's a quality manager shabbily treated by our resident maniac.
Could never understand his sacking either to be honest. Double in his first season then runner up in the league the next season and he is booted!! You'd have thought winning the double would have bought him currency with Roman, but apparantly not. Its not like we performed dreadfully the next season either. We finished 2nd!
Should not have been sacked but we finished 2nd in a really poor league that year and only on GD with City 3rd. We also were relatively poor in both of Carol's C.L attempts (compared to previous years anyway) which was the main reason he was brought in.
In his defence tho, in his first season we did come up against Mourinho's treble winning Inter side. Then again, we didnt turn up at all in the second leg....a shocking performance
No, you're completely misrepresenting that season - we absolutely dreadful that season We finished with 71 points... LESS than in 03/04 with Ranieri, over 15% less than what we had averaged in the 6 seasons before that, going on the worst run of form (in Oct-Dec) for something like 10 years. You don't dip so badly without something being really a miss. Not saying he should have been sacked for it, but let's call a spade a spade. -
ancellotti had the rug pulled from under his feet when wilkins was sacked, he even stated in his autobiography that he would not of won anything at chelsea without butch at his side
I never wanted Ancelotti appointed at Chelsea but I never wanted him sacked either. Ancelotti wasn't a great manager but he was a good one and that's all it would have taken. Our team was far more talented than United's and Arsenal's when Mourinho left. The problem is the next two managers after Mourinho were completely inept, but even then we still ran the very best in the world close. The problem is, Ancelotti pretty much lost interest as soon as Butch left, same with Mancini once Balotelli was sold. You simply can't do that as a manager or you compromise your position. I still think he should have been given another year though.
