Today Fergie said Rooney wants to leave. But where will he move this summer? Will he actually move?

I am really not sure. I'm not sure I can imagine him abroad. But who in England could afford him and do business with united?

I have listed some realistic and some slightly more bizarre but maybe possible teams in the poll that Rooney could be playing for next season. Cast your votes!

So far the media have linked him with Chelsea, Arsenal, PSG and Real Madrid.

  2. I've read before (last time he wanted a pay rise) that Rooney is very much a family man and doesn't like being far away from 'home'. That would rule out all the clubs you suggest and not leave a great deal of options.

Return to Everton? Simply put, they can't afford him.

Move to Liverpool? Can't see either party being keen!

Wigan? Same as Everton plus they are no where near Rooney's ambitions. They may even be in the Championship from next week.

Man City? Only club that is a possibility IMO. They can afford him and they can potentially match Rooney's ambition too.

Bit further afield to Newcastle? Sunderland? Villa? Can't see any of them.

Can't see him leaving. Itd have to be someone who has eyes on the champ league. Bayern Munich would suit him well, just can't see him going.

Can't see him going abroard, can't see him coming to us or going City.

Can see all three top 6 London clubs being interested so I voted for the Chavs, all three can offer CL/Europe but the Chavs can offer something the other two can't ... ££££££££$$$$$$$$

Can`t believe this is on the Liverpool board and it is the only name you spelt wrong in the poll :) i went for PSG, he may do a Tevez and go to City but i think he has more class than that, would not be a starter at Madrid or Barca, may go to Chelsea (they need another striker) but there is a good chance he will stay at United although i would expect him to get some stick after two transfer requests in three years.

It's the scouse branch of Interpol.

I don't know if he'll leave or not, but I agree he'll be trying Utd fans' patience by making another request, and that might make his position untenable. I can't really see him going abroad, though the language barrier wouldn't be a problem as he's unintelligible in English anyway.

He'll go where ever he'll get paid more and be in the CL. He doesn't speak any other language, and barely even English, so doubt he'd move abroad. City for me. Like he gives a **** about moving to rival teams. He's twice tried to leave United, so doubt he's got many loyalties there...as for class, this is the guy who slept with an oap whore when he was married <doh>

Rooney and Class go together like Giggs and decency.

With Becks probably still at PSG, France being a drive away and English probably being the common language at the club plus ££££ on offer plus CL football I reckon if he goes abroad that's where he will go, Bayern will be a worse team with him in it right now.

I don't think United will do business with another Prem club for Rooney

i think the majority have voted PSG cos ibrahimovich is going.

I think no top side wants him honestly the reality is he's a bit of a ****er. Talent is there but only in sporadic bursts when he comes back in after a while out. At 27 the only side who will want thi guy who's in his pime and wanting 250k per week wages is PSG. I am not sure city would be stupid enough this time round.

I've got a feeling he'll end up in Germany.

I'm confident he won't be staying at OT though, he can't pull this stunt twice & remain there imo.

I'd like to think you're right, but nothing about the behaviour of footballers surprises me any more.
