I'm excited. Where do you watch it? It doesn't air on Sky Atlantic until tomorrow night, and I guess in the US it airs in the early hours of tomorrow morning our time.

Falcao is only a year younger and is looking like going for £50m+. :p

Yes, but Falcao has vied for being the best striker, perhaps even being the best player, in the World. Rooney hasn't even been the best player in the UK.

But then again, he is probably the best striker in the world. How many others are there who could command that sort of a fee? RVP recently did, of course. Zlatan was about 27 when he moved to Barcelona. Not many examples though.

Yeah, that's the best I've done as well. I'd love to watch it at the same time as the Americans.

Lewandowski would command that sort of fee if he had more than 1 left on his contract. As it is, as with RVP, he will leave for less than what his value is.

Strange thing is that competition normally brings the best out in players, in Rooney's case it demolished him.

Indeed, I was taking the mick, I think United would do very well to get any where around £20m for him, incredibly well in fact.

For what it's worth it would seem like Rooney wants to leave for the right reasons. I can't see him getting the money he is on at United elsewhere at the moment.

And having made your estimate, which is at the high end of my own, would it be worth it for Saints to approach his agent..? :)

Or even the best striker in Manchester that isn't Van Persie.

You use Reddit don't you? Figure it'd be hard to use that and avoid spoilers.

On Reddit, I used it for the first time the other day. I made one comment and now apparently have 32 comment karma and 1 link karma. I don't know what those do, but they're mine.

Haha, karma doesn't do anything, and yet most of the top comments you'll see (on the default subs at least) are from people who just recycle the same old ****ty jokes for karma. Why they want it so badly, I'll never know.

Yeah on Mondays spoilers are rife, but people tend to be kind enough to label them as such. I'm subscribed to the GoT subreddit, but I avoid it entirely until I've seen the latest episode.

If he wants to take an 80% pay cut, sure! The transfer fee would be worth it for sure, but the 220k p/w of wages (at least), probably not.

He should thank his lucky stars he managed to milk that much money out of United anyway, most players would have been out on their ears years ago yet they stuck with him, all this business is a great show of loyalty to repay them. I've never liked him but respected his ability and respected him as a professional, he's certainly trying hard to undermine what little respect I had though.

Could be worse. Athletic Club got nothing from Juventus for Llorente and he's one of Spain's best strikers. Easily would've been worth £20m a year ago.

Ah so it's kind of exactly like rep on here? That's a shame, I thought I might be able to do something with it :( I'm sure you could find an HBO stream somewhere on line?

Game of Thrones won the BAFTA Audience award. Boo. It should have been the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
