For 35mins in the second half I really did think I was watching Barcelona!! we were that good! Pablo has his haters but its clear to see this guy is sublime at times and his movement and passes can be the difference between a win and a loss. He has 8 assists this season but really should have scored at least one goal today, I think if this guy gets the proper amount of love from the terraces he could be sensastional .

Our football was a joy to watch in the second half and it shows when we are on our game we can compete with any team around, massive credit to Laudrup for this as our football is now played with a purpose. When our passing between the lines is on its unplayable and even utd were chasing shadows!! Vidic was blowing through his arse after 70mins as he spent most of the time trying to find the ball.

I was devasted when they scored,if ever a team didn't deserve to score it was them but having played against them and the referee all game I guess it was only going to be utds day. Im bitter about the 50/50 tackles that were given to them every single time and im starting to get annoyed that we don't complain enough when this happens!

We lost the game by crap defending for 2 goals and Chico and Ash can take the blame for it IMO. Im not fussed if we lose Ash as I think he is probably getting a bit stale and would enjoy a fresh challenge elsewhere, we also need a defender that is dominant in the air as both chico and ash are similar in the respect they can compete for the ball but its always a 50/50 header.

Im proud of the fact the boys looked good in front of a massive world wide audience, any potential signing watching that game would be licking their lips at the thought of playing in a good footballing side, sort out our defence and we will be a handful for teams next year.

Proud of the Swans today despite the result <ok>

    Thoughts ?

Agreed, I have been a fan of Pablo's from the start, even when he has his bad days and people were criticising, I was one who wanted us to stick with him, and think you were too Norway, there is something about the guy that I like, he tries, even when having a bad game, he isn't one to hide, he has something special that when on form, like you say, can be the difference to us winning and losing, take the little touch he did to find Dyer in the box, ok it didn't quite come off, but the guy didn't even need to look for the run, he has something that we have needed for a long time, a player who is willing to risk those cute touches instead of the easiest pass.

If the fans get behind him, and his confidence builds, I think he will be one of, if not the best player we have next season.

As for the goals, Williams for me at fault for both, Chico had to pull away from Ferdinand for the second due to ash not following the run.

We more than matched them at their place and didn't appear to be fazed by the occasion. Pablo had a good game today , is he a "luxury" player ? he probably is , can we afford to keep playing him , yes , he is extremely talented and his link up play ,on times, is sublime. Good overall performance by a side willing to learn and show commitment to the cause . We are lucky to be in a position to follow the club at these moment in time ,times of which we could never have imagined 5 let alone ten years ago

We did rob ourselves. The three wingers played well today but the centre halves weren't quite at the (normally) high standards. 1st goal (why did the player duck?) but Williams miscontrolled horribly - 2nd goal Chico went wandering. Should have trusted the players at the near post.

Very pleased with the performance but we should have got a point out of it.

come on they fielded a weakened side and they still beat us, I'm happy we had a good game but lets get real here it was man united end of season parade and a celebration of sir Alex achievements and the presentation of the cup. We just happened to play them on that day that's all, It could have been any team and united would have done the same thing......they wanted to give sir alex a winning send off and they fielded a side they thought were good enough to to that and they nearly got it wrong....one thing you can say about sir Alex is that he is a winner and he will be an hard act to follow by anyone.....the lads played well and credit to them but united fielded a side that was not their strongest and why should they....they are champions and today was all about getting this game over making sure they win and giving sir Alex a fitting send off....

Good comments . Our defence is a worry at times but overall it has done well, its just the lapses of concentration that frustrate the hell out of me I guess. Ash when not 100% shows up totally average, chico takes a couple of games to be at his best.

The great thing to see was Taylor having 70 mins and looking like he was never away, he is much more sharper around the box than Ben and it makes a massive difference,we have 2 great full backs that will push each other all the way next season IMO.

The Hospital pass to Taylor was one that will probably make him feel better though I was angry as hell when Ash gave him such a sloppy slow pass, normally Taylor would be bollocking the **** out him for something like that but maybe he has mellowed a bit ?

Michu took his goal with class, we played routs up top it looked like with michu behind and surprise surprise he scores a goal from his favoured position!

Dai, you must lead a very sad and unhappy life.

Think of the glass as half full not half empty and you will be a much happier person for it

It was typical Utd, they had the best of the 1st half and most teams going in 1 down at half time would have given up the ghost in the 2nd half. Full credit to our boys we did on times control the 2nd half and the crowd were getting impatient at times as we kept the ball and we opened them on occasions. But how many times have you seen Utd win a game in the last 10 mins of a game. Our lads were much more focused today and were unrecognisable from the 1st 45 mins against Wigan. So lets finish the season on a high note next week and we can look forward to season no 3 in the Premier League.

I thought we contained Man U all game, the first goal frustrates the hell out of me the ref well how the Fcuk he gave Man U a free kick is unbelievable, studs were up on Taylor and he was very luck we didn't have a repeat of the Sunderland game.

Poor marking then for the free kick and not clearing our lines. I thought second half we played with a purpose, some sublime passing. De Guzman is still frustrating and for me doesn't put in the workload in as other players. Leon's engine is immense always wants the ball and rely gives it away. The pass and movement for Michu's goal well if that had been Man U Sky would have been drooling about it. Dyer ran his bollocks off, he's getting back to where he should be.

Hernandez I thought had a real good game, yes some passes didn't find a Swans player, I will conceded that he does try that killer pass and he was very unlucky with some, he should have shoot when he had the chance mind. Now he's had a full season with us, I think the lad will come good next season and he will be a match winner for us.

So I'm going to do my marking and summary:

Tremmell 6 - Didn't have much to do and not at fault for any of the goals acquitted himself very well.
Taylor 6 - Great to see him back in first team action, liked to get forward, but needs some more games.Well done Neil.
Ash 5 - Frustrating the hell out of me, keeps going walkabout when he should be doing defending duties.
Chico 7 - I thought he handled Van Persie very well, never gave up.
Tindialli 6 - Not as effecting going forward as Rangel, still a tidy game.
    Leon 8 - Man's well, brilliant.
JDG 5 - Not putting in the work for my liking.
Dyer 8 - Worked so hard.
Michu 7 - Fantastic finish, him coming from deep.
Hernandez 7 - Looked lively, he will come good have faith.
Routledge 6 - Not one of his better games.

pretty much how I saw it. Ash again appears to be else where atm, Chico needs to become a bit more dominant when it comes to Ash , I knows he's the captain but he's not acting like one at the moment

Daiswan on the WUM already I see, a weakened team eh? ...<laugh>

Laudrup has yet again proven to be head and shoulders above previous managers when it comes to playing a fast open possession game, the hardest level to crack really. People have mentioned how we are similar to Barca but the closest we have some to anything like that has been this season. Its the speed and pace of the passing that catches teams out and again today Utd had no answer to some of our play.

A world class defender and striker would make a massive difference to us.

Pablo H. can blow hot and cold but I think there are a few that can see what he brings even when most of his passes don't come off, if we don't nurture that type of player we will end up getting the same problems as the previous regimes. plenty of ball but no goals !!

Its high risk but today we saw Pablo show us what he can do, intresting that early season he was shooting at the right times now he seems to wait too long , I put that down to confidence, as mentioned before you don't play on the wing for Spain if you're a mug !!

Lots of positives, first half yet again extremely patchy take away the first 15mins ,alot of work needed there but I put it down to the player preserving energy myself.

I ust also make a point about the dip in form. After watching us against Wigan,Man city,Man utd ,Norwich etc I can see that the earlier games after the final the boys took their foot off the gas, without doubt! no matter what the players were saying in the press, many of them were on Holiday and it showed.

I absolutely despair at his comments, That just simply wasnt a weakened side. count up the number of appearences this season. Just to mention Rooney, wasnt he left out against Real Madrid, did they play a weakened side against them to. Utter rubbish yet again.
