We were talking about this yesterday. And that clause part is most likely bullshit. I believe the same was said about Aguero when he left Atletico.

Why would he choose Monaco then? It can't be wages and it certainly can't be for standard of football. Maybe he likes Yacht's ?

It certainly can be wages. They're loaded. Also it's one of the nicest places to live in the world, so there's that.

Probably is the wages. Monaco's owner is loaded.

The wages can't be that good, Falcao could walk into any team in the world this summer, most of which would surely match or beat wages offered by Monaco?

You don't seem to be listening. They're loaded. They could pay him £200k a week if they want.

Plus, I'd rather live in Monaco than Manchester or London.

No offence to Manchester or London.

Yes, but what I'm saying is most of the top teams could match whatever Monaco are offering him.

You wouldn't even have to live in Monaco, live in Nice or Cannes and commute in.

Depends if they wanted to. If Monaco are willing to pay 200k a week only City and possibly Chelsea would be willing to match that. Teams like Barca, Madrid, Bayern Munich etc would not want to pay that much.

Just buy a house in the south of France and pop over to Monaco for the GP then. :)

Alex Ferguson has just been classy and humble in a pitch-side post-match speech. Urging the club to back David Moyes through thick and thin. That was well said.

It was well said, and unscripted too. "Don't let yourselves down", "remember that jersey you wear" and "we all have to support OUR new manager".

It was. I don't like the guy much but that was genuinely from the heart that speech.

The Premier League trophy is being carried out onto the pitch by Bryan Robson and Steve Bruce.
