Can I just remind you mate, it was Del who wanted McFadzean alll SoD said was that if it is going through he would be ok with it. I know you like him but I wouldn't hold my breath out for him, if it happens and he's as good as you say he is (told or seen) then bonus. But I suspect SoD would have his own idea of who he wants, the only thing I will guarantee you is if it happens you will have to be quick to get it mentioned, otherwise RR will have another new thread up about SoD being the greatest
Wonder if thats why R O'K left is he in line for the Wolves job if he is a free agent and they wouldn't have to pay a shed load of compensation
This is what i was on about some time ago,a big club comes calling for SoD does he stay or go. As soon as the the wolves job became avaliable i did wonder,SOD is from the area. One thing for sure we will be up **** creek, but i would expect us to go for warnock. It will test SoDs allegence to us and wheather he is committed to the club, time will tell.
They had a chance to get SoD if they WANTED him in Jan, and since then he has had the same record as the man they sacked. So why would now be any different??
They will get someone that is prepared to drop down and bring them back up. Owen Coyle, Paul Jewel maybe or they might go for Dave Jones again.
If he does a good job at Oldham then he could well move on to a larger club and even though we are currently in the same league as Oldham and with no disrespect intended we are a 'bigger' club historically and financially so it could be looked at as a step up.

Founder members of the Premier League....three years in the top flight League Cup finalists......3 times FA Cup semi-finalists. Objectively I'd say you're on a par with them.
hawk said 'historically and financially'. Historically they've got the edge. Financially, with FFP and SL refusing to bankroll you, is there much difference?
He also said we're the bigger club, I even see the gas as a bigger club than Oldham.. but using your basis, clearly the gas aren't
