No matter how much you don't want to sell him, IF he wants to leave, he will. No club wants an unhappy player, especially a GK!
£5 million is getting silly season. Unless Arsenal want to sign him - which other PL club is actively looking to sign a keeper. So if he wants to leave Leicester (uncertainity about who will be manager next season - and will he be rated by said new manager or sold off) and wants to advance his career then he will want to play PL and I'm certain he knows Bruce through his dad and maybe he even knows Walsh as well (that being the Gary version not the Steve version).
No teams much bigger than us looking for a first choice keeper at the moment. I think it will depend on whether he is happy to be 2nd choice at a top half team or if he wants to play now.
It's quite ironic how Leicester started the season apparently expecting to cherry-pick our best players and now we're casting our eyes over theirs. Football eh?
I was thinking about that. Would Leicester do business with the Allams after,we knocked them back so often ?
Then he won't move. He won't go to a club that isn't 'secure' of a PL place and can't offer him first team football. He will stay with us to continue his development.
What development? What is he really going to learn from you? And what is your idea of secure PL Club ? Because he 100% wont be going to any of them!
Here's hoping Steve has a word in dad peters ear today about his Son, and try and get him to have a chat with him and join his old mate brucie
Never been a big fan of Sorenson, always thought he was a bit fragile but Friedel is still one of, if not the best shot stopper around. That might well be something that will prove invaluable in our attempt to stay up next season!
But the attraction of being in the Premier League............? I assume you will still pop across and join us occasionally. Just so we can have the odd gloat. Thanks.
Isn't development improving yourself by playing against world class strikers in the PL - we all know Leicester are now scared of losing their several top players to PL teams and as for "secure" of a PL place - well when I look at the table Leicester aren't secure of that for at least 2 more seasons
When he signed for us he was an average championship keeper. Now i'd say he could walk into most Premier League teams and improve them.
