Totally terrible second half performance (for the 37th time this season?)... Pardew hasn't learned that just because he says "hold onto the win by defending well" at the interval doesn't mean we will <doh>

Have a great trip Jimmy. How much hot air do you need to keep such a huge balloon floating?

Pretty much supported Pardew from the get go, plus stability , not chopping and changing manager every defeat etc etc...totally agree with the concept..

BUT.... that's enough, if you have the opposition looking ragged, 2-1 up ..and in a must win situation you dont fecking sit back and stop playing, basically having 11 players stand on the goal line, between the posts and say that is a tactic..what the feck happens at the half time talks.. we haven't had a single match this season with 2..'ok' halves..

Bloody, bloody Newcastle.. after 40 odd years, I hold them personally responsible for me feeling like a 60 yr old at this moment.
I am not sure my heart can take this.. Considering shifting my support to Kaiser Chiefs..ie no streams available, ..no news, no..caring etc etc..would be sooo much better for my nerves...Howay the Chiefs

A win and a good performance from 3 of the back 4, debuchy did improve second half to be fair...But the second half was an absolute shambles. It looked like it was an end of season game for two mid table clubs, you'd never have known we were playing to stay up.

If we'd have played any other prem team today we'd have lost that.

Utterly bizarre. I would love to hear recordings of the half time team talks.

Never a truer word fella. I'm just glad this awful season can now be put in the bin where it deserves, and Ashley and Co can reflect why we had to go through such crap.

Pardew needs firing within the hour.

Totally agree. He's tried his level best this season to persuade me he needs to go and he's excelled himself!

"Sorry, thanks but no thanks, see you later Pards..."

I'm happy today but I'm not celebrating one bit. Newcastle have dropped a long old way but I refuse to celebrate them avoiding relegation with a game to spare...

Oh and needlessly doing all they could during the match to stuff it up.

Pathetic match to watch but for once I thought Williamson had a decent game winning everything in the air. Steve Harper will now end his career in goal against Arsenal and I'm sure he will get a tremendous send off for being such a stalwart team player,

    THIS! <ok>

Shame about the circumstances, but will be great for Harps to get a proper send off between the sticks at SJP rather than quietly slipping out the back door. Still think it's a shame he's not been offered a coaching role.

Totally agree, Harps will get the send off he deserves, playing at SJP

Frankly there is still nothing they could say that I wouldn't agree with.

I wish today was one where any gloating was justified and fulfilling... Not a bit.
