Huddersfield v Leeds Rhinos today. Big local Derby. Important cup game. One of the biggest sides in the league (Leeds Rhinos - the Man. U of Rugby League).Saturday afternoon.

    Attendance 11,000 odd.

Rugby League is dying. Shame, but it is.

Some bitter berk on the rugby forum alleging our support is mainly from the ER.

So if Hull IS a rugby town there was an awful lot of them who can't be arsed to actually attend the games.

Are you asking him if that means that to people outside Hull we're more popular and well known then?

What does it matter where the support comes from? The fact is more people watch football then watch Rugby League. There are 2 million plus people in the West Yorkshire Met. but only 11,000 of them could be bothered to go to the game. Leeds Utd are ****e, but get double this for games against equally ****e sides from Norfolk etc. The proportions remain the same in Hull or Wigan.

    Rugby Leagues day has gone.

Embarrassing to think those people are our neighbours.

The sooner we evict them and leave them in our wake, the better.

Saw FC fan tweeting on Wednesday night about Hull is a rugby city as hardly anyone turned out for a last minute non-event... 2 days later FC manage less attendance at an actual game.

The posters on there have to be the thickest and most deluded I've ever seen. They make the morons on our facebook page look like rational thinkers.

Firstly I think you mean Petty, secondly I think you mean Hull RLFC, we are HCFC. Your ignorance is embarrassing.

You also rather miss the point of this thread. We are not feuding with them, we're actually pitying them. I am genuinely sad that Rugby League is going down the pan, and I wish them well, but they will not save their game by pretending its woes are related to football in general or Hull City in particular.

Rugby Union has learnt to co-exist with football (Leicester City and Leicester Tigers) even though one of those is a top flight professional sports club and the other is struggling to escape mid table mediocrity from the second tier of their sport.

Hull and Rovers ave attendance for 2012 19.450'

hull city's ave attendance for a promotion winning season. 17350

Hull FC got 8,000 for a cup game last night more than city got in most of their cup games this season

I would drop this pointless argument, both sports are fantastic and loved by thousands.

Football is loved by the whole planet, rugby is loved by a few towns on the M62.

I did mean petty, my iPad autocorrected that and I knew HCFC would get a rise from at least one of you. Even though you are actually HCAFC. What does the A stand for? Amateur?
