Actually, there is evidence to support the "Columbo" style of man management. Talkative, friendly, seemingly remiss. It draws information from employees that they would not otherwise divulge. Then. BOOM! I have not used this approach myself. But can recognise it a ****in mile away when dafties try it on me. Just as they leave a meeting it's "Oh aye, just one thing...". Naw. Prick. Nae things. The meeting was the the place for things ya fud. If ye want to talk things lets have a meeting about them things.
I used to work with this lawyer. She was amazing. All these high powered suits talked down to her. She played dumb and they told her everything. She pretended not to understand and they'd tell her more.... They'd walk out the door thinking she was thick as **** but they'd get a letter a couple of days later and know that they'd been rinsed. I try and do the same but I am stuck on the thick as **** bit.

I already said I am thick as ****. This negative reinforcement is not helping Unbelievable to see in action. I do try and do the same. I tried the pig ignorant approach this week after exhausting everything else. That works too.
