This. And our financial position is going to be a major factor when were competing to get the signatures of players who should really be moving to champions league clubs, our willingness to pay 100% cash up front whilst other teams are only willing to pay in installments will see us having first option on these players.

If Leazes has a 99 and uses his prick instead of a flake(subject to the fella definitely signing), then yes.

Not that I'm insinuating that Leazes is a primate or owt.

Think raspberry sauce has always been referred to as monkey's blood.

Not that old. Monkey's blood was still a common saying in the late 90's when the ice cream vans came rolling round. It might even still be used today by kids.

Yeah it is still used. One of the chefs on the Scottish heat of Great British Menu used it in his desert course. He made a triple layered chocolate mousse with a chocolate ball on top. When you cracked open the ball it was filled with monkey blood (raspberry sauce) and it flooded out and soaked through the rest of the desert. Looked really nice, but the point was that the chef called it "Monkey Blood Pudding" and said it was his kids (and their friends) favourite.

Never see ice cream vans around the streets now. Last time I had a 99 off one was at the Stoke game.

There are loads round my neck of the woods, not surprising as it is a holiday destination. Although they have fixed locations rather than driving around but you are never more than about 10 minutes away from one during the spring through autumn.

And yes you can still get raspberry sauce for 99's.

All the talk about 99's made me fancy one, but all I had in the freezer was a Magnum so I had to make do with that.

    No monkeys blood.
