I don't think there's any rush, every comment he's made hints that he's staying at Spurs, there's really no need to worry unless that changes.

I don't think CL football is the clincher, Levy signing players to support him will be. He'll have reassurances about some proper spending unlike what RVP got when he asked whether Arsenal were going to show some ambition and Wenger told him he'd sign a left back in January.

My thoughts too. As nice a guy, and as loyal as he may be, he will still be ambitious to win honours. Levy cannot expect loyalty to be a one way street, if he wants Bale to stay & sign a new contract then I feel he has to palpably demonstrate the club's ambition to challenge for trophies on a regular basis by spending the money necessary to bring the squad up to the required level to do that.

And now Venables is saying the same.

Then again, isn't Venables essentially a glorified spokesman for Budweiser these days?

Despite the unnecessary (if somewhat predictable) comments from some, this is what I meant. I think Bale will wait and see whether you qualify for the champions league before committing to anything <ok>

You also thought Levy would sell Bale to fund the new stadium.

  6. There's some prat on the Goons board saying the new stadium won't happen as we can't afford it.... Apparently according to him it should have been completed already!! Maybe he should learn to read or at least get his carer to read the news occasionally? <doh>

  7. As I keep on saying... BALE IS GOING NOWHERE!

Whether we get CL footy or not.

This is Spurs we are talking, not Arsenal, ffs! Just because every AFC player puts in a transfer request every time £ity or United click their fingers doesn't mean the same rule applies to us, because it doesn't. Yes, we lost Sheringham, Carrick and Berbatov to United, and recently lost Rat-Boy to Real (where he's done wonderfully keeping their bench warm), but that doesn't mean doesn't mean a thing.

Anyway, why on earth would Bale want to go and work under Moyes, if he didn't want to work under Fergie? United are less likely to win things, now, not more likely.

Nah. As I have consistently said, Bale is staying put. I've been right for three seasons so far.

  10. Well, it's good to see you can read - just not too good with numbers - article dated 2009 as initial plans were submitted..... That was a prospective date subject to planning permission, which anyone with a brain would know is not set in stone.
Practice your reading a bit more and learn about land contract law - it might come in handy the next time you make comments.
Oh - and while you're at it, you might want to find the article that mentions we cannot afford the new stadium.....

of course the articles is dated 2009, there is hardly going to be an article dated 2013 claiming that your were going to move into a stadium in 2012 <doh>

im not even going to bother arguing this, it was the same with liverpool and hicks and gillett, claiming there would be a spade in the ground in 60 days, if it happens and you do build it then well done and good luck. I just cant see it tho.

One thing that Hicks and Gillett never had at any point of their tenure at Liverpool was planning permission for a new stadium - neither do the Fenway Sports Group - hence their recent climbdown and talk about renovating Anfield instead.

You're not going to argue this? Shame, because I'm about to bury you with data...
    http://www.haringey.gov.uk/index/ho...ainpage/strategicphysicalregeneration/ndp.htm

Notice there's a lot more facts, figures, information and data in that link than some BBC article that doesn't support your theory we can't afford a new stadium at any point.

Also, I have to ask one thing - having paid for your new stadium, did you realise you couldn't afford it so had to sell Fabgregas, Nasri, Clichy and Van Persie to pay for it? Yes or no?

Hey as I said, if it happens then well done, and congratulations, but until the actual stadium itself has been started (and not a supermarket) im still not going to be convinced due to the vast sums it would take to build such a stadium, on a lighter note it looks like a great design.

No probs, I had it to hand as I was actualy doing some research myself.

On the old site, they had updates of the training ground development, but the new one has neither training ground or stadium....strange imo.

The second link is interesting as it talks about the wider development, in particular the station walk to the NAMING RIGHTS STADIUM.

Not really, only evidence I'm looking for is an actual stadium being built, call me old fashioned but that constitutes real evidence, and seen as how there is not a stadium under construction I'll stick to my original opinion, but thanks for the offer.

I just can't imagine Levy selling to a Prem club even if there is a stratospheric offer. If he wants to go to Bayern, Barca or Real Madrid for that kind of money (North of £50m,) then I cannot honestly see Levy saying no.
