But our home form is weaker than our away form. I dont think they will be happy to go to pens. I think Pearson wants to win it in normal time.

He could potentially make or break our chances. It is going to be a great day out for all.

Or is he trying to recreate the Sax solo on Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street?

Why is everyone so gloomey - we are just a goal down and need a win at home against a side we have already beaten twice this season. We have won on many occasion by 2 goals over the season and so we can do it again. Especially with Deeney back. There won't be any need for Schmical to show off in penalties as it won't come to that - in the end we have home advantage and we will be at home in extra time should it come to it. The odds must be in our favour - I know we'll win by 2-0 and will be looking forward to Wembley come 5.30 on Sunday afternoon.

Hope you are right - on paper we ought to be able to overcome one goal deficit - but we ought to have been able to overcome Leeds. All they have to do is sit back and be patient - we HAVE to score - if they go two up on the counter-attack it becomes much more difficult.

If we win 2-0 I will be looking forward to Wembley at 2.30 - early kick off :)

Is anyone going to do a new thread or use this one?

Just as an fyi, we have only lost 1 league match this season by more than 1 goal.

    Barnsley 2-0 Leicester

Just keep kicking it upto Schlupp, he'll probably give you 5 more chances to score <ok>

Times have changed haven't they - who would have thought a few years ago that a typical English football 'battle at the top' would feature an Anya vs Schlupp?

I don't think we'll be "kicking it up" to anyone - we're far more cultured these days. Also remember this is a one off game so different from league matches. Leicester can't afford to come to Watford and try to sit on a 1-0 lead because thats the clear route back to the Championship next season. Many teams have come to Watford this season and played for a draw - for some it worked which is why our away record is better than our home - but we didn't finish third with a poor home record - many more failed including Leicester. So if after 90 minutes its equal on goal difference then the next 30 will be in front of a Watford crowd pulling tired legs on and getting on the backs of Leicester. So even if Leicester survive that the penalties are at Watford too - and although Schmicheal may have saved a few this season remember Deeney and Vydra haven't missed any either.

Leicester friend says that after the match on Thursday it came out that Nugent was given a job to mark Chalobah out of the game - anyone else notice this? Chalobah was quiet all game...how can we make sure GFZ is aware for tomorrow? :emoticon-0105-wink:

I wonder how much potential for improvement there is from Leicester from Thursday night. However I know that there is a massive amount of improvement that we can make. The question however is whether we will see any of that improvement.

TD and FF will be a very different proposition and I am praying that Chalobah is on top of his game and runs the show. When Chalobah performs, we perform. COYH

Being the manager, I'd like to think that he would realise that if it were true. I don't particularly remember him being marked that closely - I do, however, remember that he was way off his normal pace. I doubt that he can play that badly again......... <fingerscrossed>

Yeah this is true and he did a bloody good job of it.

However, I felt it left him too far behind Wood/Kane which made their job a lot harder. We still created a lot more chances than your though.

We played a 4-2-3-1 and I thought it worked much better against you than the 4-4-2 a week prior.

We've lost by 2 goals once all season.

    Once out of 47 games.

It has been proven that 99.231.4/2% of statistics with regards to football matches in the play offs are statisticall nonsense. That is according to OPTA.

To be fair though, that is a mighty statistic. We had done you twice this season and what did that count for...:emoticon-0106-cryin

Here is another one for you.

Leicester have never lost an away playoff tie in 90 or 120 minutes. Winning the last two.
