He'll sign, don't worry. He's just got this deal with BT. Levy knows how marketable he is and as a businessman, he'll look to capitalise as much as possible before he's sold.
You don't really want him back, do you? I mean, what's he done for us, really? I refuse to worry about Bale leaving unless and until he does. And at that point it would be useless.

If Bale signs then the club has to show loyalty to him. He can walk into any club in the world so we have to honour his exceptional loyalty. He needs players around him who can actually win things not a bunch of nearly men. Levy?Lewis have to step up . Like any parent we want the best for our children but if we can't offer this it would be wrong for him to stay.
I actually completely agree. If we aren't going to give Andre any money to buy the kind players we need to kick on / become a tad more consistant / good enough to really believe we are better than Arsenal and Chelsea.... then we may as well sell for 60m and increase the talent in the squad. ie new winger and world class stirker. Basically either way, we need a new winger and world class striker, bale or no bale.

It worries me...why has AVB gone public urging Bale to sign a new contract? has Bale refused to sign? if not then why go public? The truth is I think that Bales decision is purely dependent on us finishing in the top 4 so we won't know until Sunday week...or tuesday if it all goes wrong earlier

Right on cue, Mark Hughes says Bale is "made to measure" for a move Man Utd. Then again, how many of QPR's current squad did he say were "made to measure" to help them stay in the Premier League? The latter didn't happen, the former won't.
As much as this winds me up that another git is opening his mouth about Bale, after his recent managerial record; any comment from Hughes has no credence whatsoever. He has nothing to his name right now other than a P45!

I think they will. If Levy is realistically looking at our squad, Bale is the only one he can make some serious dosh on, because none of the others are in his league. That's the last remaining player he can do that with, and once he's gone, we're a very different Tottenham, so we need to build on him now. Obviously some of our others such as Lloris, Verts and Dembele certainly have very decent values, but they are part of our rebuild! We now need to get some top quality "up and comers" who can join this group of players, so if/when Bale does eventually leave, we're much stronger all round.
perhaps its gone public because he knows he will sign or knows it's just a case of the "I's" being dotted and the "T's" being crossed? ? AVB doesn't tend to give much away to the press, so he must be signing.
