Hey, if you think Downing is doing a good job, that is your opinion, I just don't think and never have thought he has done enough.

Johnson could be shared in the same light in terms of attacking and putting the ball in the box, he got his fair share of stick back when Rafa bought him. Think you will find that Enrique got his fair share when he has fallen off.

Just don't like the articles where he seems to be patting himself on the back for playing OK. That is all.

EDIT: WIth these articles, Enrique has come out and said himself and the team have not been up to scratch. That is a bit more trthful and to the point and I appreciate that honesty.

in fairness to those who bothered to put a ball in.... not that many did.... andy carroll was not able to drop off, hold it up, play it wide... and then run into the box.. I watched him do the first part then trot forward without ever sprinting and not be there.... when he was in there he was dangerous.

Carroll to utd, perfect fit guys. we should just ape the "people's club" and be utd's feeder from now on. imagine how far we could go when they cast off ****e like rafael or fabio to us as well... everton did well on howard, neville and gibson... you know it makes some sense somewhere.

None of the team was playing to suit each other at the time that's no Individuals fault they are the ones on the pitch that look like twats when It goes tits up Its the manager that sets them up and tells them how to play..

Should have been given a proper chance IMO

Overall, we've been so wasteful over the past 2-3 years incl Borini, Allen and Carroll. Time to get smart and January's business seems as if we have learnt from our mistakes.

should not have been signed injured and not for 35mil...

still utd can sell rooney for 40 or 50mil to psg then buy carroll for 35.. that'd be ironically perfect seeing we were told such maths was flawed <laugh>

no matter what about players not suiting each other, the basics of the game still hold true, if you are a guy dying for a header and you hold it up then when support comes you play it wide then your first instinct should be to get to the back stick, not trot forward like you're out of puff.

Same goes for dowing , a winger's first instinct should not be a back pass or to close off your body to take in the ball so a full back can't rob you.

The reason why suarez and gerrard and coutinho are or will be loved is their first instinct is to go forward, positivity, the quick shot, the dribble or the fast pass depending on who we talk about. Its the same for enrique, peoepl like him cos his first instinct is to run with the ball... he'll run it and run it til he gets it taken off him so he can be a liability sometimes but more than anything he's positive. Again same for reina, while not at his best his very first instinct is to look for positive pass forward... see the trend?

Well said. Good players are proactive, read the game well and look to attack. The attacking mentality is a sign of confidence in a player - he is willing to take risks.

He was more than good at the end of last season, he was what a general concensus termed "unplayable" and it wasn't just in the cups, nor was it just against minnows.

It's funny how our media are suddenly gaga for big, strapping German youth and tiki taka is now rubbish when Messi's injured.

Flogging Carroll for 10 mill (which we'll end up doing) could end up being an even bigger mistake than loaning him out this season, depending on where he ends up. He'll be a quality player for someone, but it doesn't look likely to be us.

Our media just go with the latest thing because they're useless. Two german teams in the final? Oh, gemans have the best style of football now. Defend deep, park a man on their main threat than counter attack with pace. Rinse repeat. It'll change again the season after to something else.

Tiki taka is good, but limited. Can't beat every team playing one style, which hopefully Rodgers is realising.
