Maybe a daft question, but how does international water work?

i.e, technically, could westminster blockade the use of the sea, if it so wished.. Also would there be customs points set along the border?

Would Scotland still use the pound, or switch to the euro?

International water is based on the continental shelf borders can be a bit contentious and England Stole a fair whack of our sea a few years back to try and grab the oil, the "new" border is actually closer to dundee than berwick. Lets see that stand up in international courts.
Despite this most of the oil is closer to shetland and Orkney so its still ours.

The current SNP plan is to keep the pound indefinitely and have the bank of England set interest rates etc. Scotland would take shares in the Bank of England to ensure fairness in policy. Most commentators predict an independent currency eventually. It would be impractical to have a new currency ready to go come independence day.
