I am ambivalent about this game. Sunderland do look a bit toothless but then again we are hardly banging in goals at the moment. I saw Sunderland at St. Mary's and they were solid and looked untroubled by us. Surely this game has a draw written all over it.

I too was concerned about our lack of goals, but I think the Wigan result has turned this around. There would be the danger of panic setting in if Wigan were one point behind us, but now I can see us winning this 2.1 or 3.1. I think Sunderland would struggle to win if we get a couple of goals in.

Oh...has this happened very recently? They didn't say anything about it in the other forum. I'll have to arrange for my friends to pick up tickets somewhere else then as they are sitting in the home end..Selfish gits are leaving me on my own<steam>

I often go and watch bands there on Saturday nights, and only found out about this last week...Hopefully it will be back up and running soon.

Think its going to be a nil-nil draw (which probably means it will be a goal-fest!) but Sunderland are seriously understrength with red cards and injuries and seem to have lost the ability to punish teams in the final third.

Anyone know which strip we'll be in? (Hope it's Brazil... as they look more confident in it)

Just seen di canio's press conference. He said 'they have dangerous players like do prado' don't know if he's taking the Piss or not?

Possibly remembers Guly scoring against his Swindon side a couple of years back, saw him play well against Spurs and assumed he's still a key player for us.

Is Guly fit after last week's knock?

Importnat that Luke is fit so he can nullify Johnson. If we stifle him I think we have a great shout at getting 3 points!

Only 1,400 tickets sold, bit surprising for last away game of the season.

    And we're well overdue a penalty. Put 2 and 2 together... :)

Perhaps the pressure of not having scored lately is having a negative impact? Does anyone think since J-Rod hit form the hype and pressure may have become a hinderance? Perhaps play puncheon, lallana left and davis mid? Bring J-rod on just after half time?

Danny Fox and Gaston Ramirez will both miss Southampton's trip to Sunderland on Sunday because of suspension.

how much of a miss will these be? we have wickham back which is a big plus 2-0 safc

Fox, not at all. Only plays if Shaw can't, and he's pretty poor.

Gastón Ramírez is more of a miss but has been largely inconsistent and is still settling.

Means for the three in our 4-2-3-1 will be from: Puncheon, S. Davis, Lallana, Mayuka, Do Prado, Rodriguez, Lambert.
