A player I hope Bruce is watching out for is Liam Bridcutt. Obviously if Brighton get through the playoffs it'll be a non-starter but if possible he'd be a real solution to our lack of a defensive midfielder. He'd be fantastic cover for the back 3 or 4.
I don't think many of them would disagree. Least happy with though was a nice way of saying they think he's been one of the ****test in a **** team. The reports are vastly inflated, he currently earns nothing.
I see that Daily Mail are suggesting Phil Neville may join the Moyes staff at Man U and so playing here is looking unlikely. Is he ready to hang his boots up? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ille-new-backroom-team-Manchester-United.html
I'm sure Neville said he was leaving Everton to prolong his regular playing career. I can't see why he'd suddenly stop playing altogether after saying that.
Yeah but there's no rush for him. I'm sure he'd be welcome there in a year or two and he'll know that. I think he'll be looking for a club weaker than Everton who he knows he will play regularly for.
Getting on to Man Utd coaching staff isn't too easy, and I suppose it would be a big pull to come on board for a new era. I do hope he wants to continue playing though, providing it is with us.
Costel Pantilimon is his name and Man City have said he can go. Will play in the FA Cup Final this weekend though as he has been the FAC GK for all the games. On a season long loan to see how he goes would be a Yes from me. Would be perfect for dealing with crosses as he stands 6ft 8" tall. 2.03 mtrs in new money. Age 26. A great FAT for the summer. On my list of championship players who we should be moving in for this summer. Not sure we need Trippier as we have Rosenoir. Maynor Figuera from Wigan, another FAT would be better as has been reported already in the media. Kevin Davies (unless he has been paid up) earns £20k week from Bolton until July 1st 2013.!! Still, nothing changes that he would be an excellant summer signing for the Tigers with points to prove.
I think Davies would have been a good signing 3 or 4 years ago but Bolton don't even want him now in the Championship so why would we?
We all would. Sadly none of us have played many years in the PL have we ?. On the right money he is worth a year with a survival bonus in the deal. imo. Er... no he is not. Boltons stupidity over letting KD go cost them the play-offs.
On the subject of Curtis Davies.. how many centre-halves do we need? For a 4-4-2, four CBs is enough, five is a pretty big push but if you have no cover for full backs then it's a possibility. We currently have Chester, Hobbs & Bruce, followed by McShane and Faye who are supposedly winning new deals. Unless we're planning on getting rid of Bruce, or playing 6 at the back, I don't really see where the logic would be here.
Aparently Agnew has just been on RH saying we will be working on 352 again during pre-season. If thats the case, I see us looking at; 2x GK 2x RWB (Elmo? Rosie?) 1x DM 1x CM 2x ST And, if thats the case, I would expect to see a line-up similar to this for our first match; GK Chester Faye Hobbs Elmo Meyler DM Quinn Brady Aluko ST GK Dudge Rosie Bruce Evans Simpson ST I would be tempted to drop Bruce and bring in another defender but I cant see that happening, can you?
