He seriously needs to learn a lesson from Steve Bruce!! Nobody a year and a half ago in the premier league would have touched him, (us included), so he swallowed his pride, took a step down to the championship with Hull and its payed dividends!! Hughes seems to think that he can just wait until a prem job comes about and step straight back into a cushty job, but he seriously needs to realise his reputation has taken a hit and that needs to be repaired. If he doesnt I can seriously see him turning into curbishly, a manager so long out of the game that even lower league clubs see him as out of touch
Dream scenario: Everton appoint Hughes Baines & Fellaini to ManUre for £60 million Hughes signs Zamora, Johnson, Cisse, Granero, Cesar and the rest of the dross he lumbered us with. If they were good enough then they're good enough now! Everton RIP...
he wont go to everton, they don't match his ambition, his agent stated when he left ffc, that mark hughes is a manager that should be working in the champs league in the u.k or abroad. DONT HOLD YOUR BREATH MARK!!!!
God same old bitching again. Hughes is not the antichrist for **** sake! He came in and tried to do a good job and failed (more or less), it does not make him evil or a twat or anything else, none of us know the guy ffs. Also he may be perfectly happy to accept an NPC job like Bruce did, we dont know so dont pretend he's sat on some throne waiting for the next prem job to come up. Also for all his perceived failure it was his signing of Cisse that kept us up last year, which none of you miserable ****ers ever give him credit for. Finally i am no lover of hughes but i do believe in fairness.
I obviously agree that he tried to do a job with us honestly and failed, and I don't believe he's a bad person etc. but all i'm saying is that it's a bit presumptuous of him to openly throw his into the hat of a top 7-8 job when his reputation has been severely tainted by his time with us
If he has really suggested he should be considered for the post, then I think he hugely misjudges his own worth and his perceived abilities by other team principals. Also, his apparent relationship with Joorabchian does him no favours.
He didnt though, it was an interview on Sky about the whole Fergie thing and he was asked if he would be interested.
a tiny part of me actually preferred Hughes to Redknapp. No constant fawning to the media, no ridiculous statements about the dire quality of his players, no excuses at every turn…. Part of me may have just died inside, but at least he went about things with some dignity
I agree and believe in time a lot of here will have to reconsider their views. It seems QPR have about to go under the knife again ... if we were all sure we were heading down under Hughes ... where are we now under Harold? I firmly believe Hughes would have turned it however he may not of got Townsend or Remy
I can see the interview going something like this Bill Kenwright: So Mr Hughes, why did you your last job. Mark Hughes: Because I bought a lot of aging players on inflated wages, divided the squad and couldn't win a match. Bill Kenwright: NEXT!
