Malky reminds me of Mr. Mackay in Porridge. Fletch used to run him ragged.

Its funny i've just posted the same thing on the latics site about Martinez but what i said was that Laudrup will not be leaving the liberty stadium anytime soon because he`s got the team ticking over very nicely and being 9th in the league and Europe to look forward to he would be mad to. us at the DW on the other hand have the opposite situation if we don`t win our next 2 games and take the drop into the championship i think he `l(Martinez) be of to Goodison park.

Id be more worried about losing Laudrup to a big spanish club than to Everton !
If the toffees want a successful manager thats won recently at wembley with a welsh club then im sure Newports got one that be intrested ?

Yes Newport have won at Wembley, so have Wrexham in the FA Trophy and of course we won the League cup and play off final there. That's a clean sweep then all the Welsh clubs have won at Wembley.

Oh hang on, I may be wrong there I can't seem to recall Cardiff winning there since the finals left the Mill Stad. Not this Malaysian lot I mean the old Welsh team that was Cardiff

I see that Alky is 14/1 for the Everton job now, shorter odds than Mr Laudrup

Honestly think Everton's best bets are Martinez (although that will mean changing style of play a bit - but it offers him a sound defensive base to work from) or Mackay (as he seems, for the lack of a better way of saying it, the new Moyes - playing style is similar and he has done a very good job). O'Neill and Hughes have had disasterous recent appointments and have played their way out of jobs like that. Maybe an ex-player like Neville, we don't know what he's like at the club - is he really involved in coaching there? Again, if he was, he would offer a sound transition.

I think there first choice will be Martinez, but it will eb close. I think that will eb indicated by how quickly they move... if they drag their feet a little it means they are waiting to snaffle Martinez after the last ball is kicked (he's never going to talk about it before the final game). If they move quickly it will be Mackay. Hope for Cardiff's sake it isn't (honestly I do), there has been nothing more frustrating recently than the team getting going, our hoes getting up and then the manager racing off. I guess, that's welcome to the Premiership - first summer panic; who will they lose?

It's a very dog eat dog world in the top flight, if you are not Top 5 you have expect that one day the biggest dogs will come along and take your manager. You'll get used it.

I should be used to it by now - Martinez, Sousa and Rodgers. Cardiff had Dave Jones for so long that they can't be used to having a manager other teams would want!

hahaha! Touche sir! I am being called an idiot by the cardiff fans for even suggesting the Malcky has little reason to turn down an approach from Everton, they think they are a big club, it is all very delusional.

Don't tell them that Dilli, you will be vilified for stating truth. They are so touchy over there, make one comment and they have a go at you yet the other day they were saying we were the touchy ones, at least we had reason to be as their bloke was trolling. You can't tell them news that they do not want to hear.

I do sympathise - I remember the stress whenwe went up, all our players being linked away, people gloating and telling us that we'd go down. All the high hopes suddenly actually generate a fear - what if we lose all of this?

They have a decent capacity stadium and, apparently, money to spend. It would make them relatively attractive to an out of work manager. Hell of a job to come in to though. Tough enough if you know all the players and have taken them up (I mean that inherently with a promoted side), but if you have to take a look at them, work out what the club needs etc etc. They might even be best off promoting from within or hiring a mangager with Bellamy as assistant, something like that.

God forbid they end up with Hughes - although he'll probably be determined to prove that QPR wasn't his fault, would he be able to change his ways and prove everyone wrong? Who would that leave them with? O'Neill might be a goioid punt, if he'd go for it. Still, £25m to spend wont impress him - he had more than that with Sunderland and wasted it.
