I personally think adam le fondre could be an excellent aquisition. He reminds me of kevin phillips. I would go something like the following Green Young onohua samba traore Swp jenas faurlin tarrabt Bothroyd le fondre I believe swp will finally find his true level at championship and have a similar affect to what routledge did. Thoughts guys
Be interesting to see if the hype over Remy dies down. I hope if he goes we loan him ... He is on record on saying he loves QPR ... I think Arsenal may look at bigger names myself He may even stay for the first half of next season with us IMO ... Don't forget he could have gone straight to Newcastle . I think we should be looking a bit better that Fondre
Don't think that team will see us up, harriman for young yuk for traore, matt phillips for swp, odemwinge for le fondre, bolasie for tarbs, rhodes for bothroyd.
I don't think that we will see Young, Samba, Traore, Jenas or Taraabt next season. Le Fondre won't sign as we are (hopefully) finished paying out the big money.
Sounds like someone still believes in wholesale changes? Shall we change the manager too? Logo? Some new investors? **** it, let's all support a new team while we're at it! I'm being sarcastic, though. I think we need to keep Tarbs. I wouldn't kick out many players that we have now, to be honest. But we must keep Hill and get 2 or 3 players who know the league and can dominate it. Also, we should get HH back!!
-------------------Green--------------- Byram----Samba---Onouha---Traore Phillips—Jedinak—Faurlin-----Taarabt ------Doyle(Free)---Austin/Gayle-------- Mackie, Hill, Bothyroyd, Derry, Jenas and Murphy subs
I know we saw some woeful performances from players we expected better from, and we didn't see the commitment that is expected from a professional footballer, but to be honest the only person I really don't think should be at the club is Bossingwa for his obvious lack of interest in the club. It would be lovely to be able to turn back the clock and change our result against Swansea and see what would have happened, I think that result destroyed the confidence of some and the belief of others. But at the level of the Championship, I think we already have the players we need, with one or two younger players either brought through from the U21's or up and coming players from lower leagues. If we get rid of everyone then I think we are just making the same mistakes again, and it could take another 16 years to go back up. Our biggest weakness for years has been the chopping and changing of the squad, leaving us with players who have only been here 5 minutes. We need some of these players to become the backbone that we've been lacking, and I'm sure you'll see a different attitude from some players who have been awful this season, they just need to win a few and be with the club a while to start to feel what it means to us all.
Clear out of the bad eggs necessary. Harry knows who he wants to get shot of, not that it will be easy with some of them.
Why? who do you think is going to buy young or Tarbs then?....appalling players out of their league. We will be stuck wit them next season..god forbid...!
If there is one thing I've learnt from the last two seasons it is to never be even vaguely arrogant or assume we are going to win any game, let alone the league (which ever one we are in). Having said that (deep breath, here we go), watching Leicester v Watford was woeful football yesterday! I know there may have been nerves etc but the passing was dire, the control was dreadful and generally ugly football to watch. Even the goal was flukey with Nugent connecting with the back of his head! On an average day, this QPR team (yes, even this QPR team!!), would have a good chance of beating either of those two teams. I say keep most of them apart from the obvious offenders ie Barton, Bosingwa and maybe Mbia if his tweets are true. What do other think?
I think the players we have should have been good enough to keep us in the prem, but they were never a team, i think these players will be even less interested in Champ so relegation again unless we can lose the bad eggs and create a team
Personally I wouldn't play 4-4-2, I'd like to see us play 4 -3 -3 -1, as we will be looking for a few players might be an idea to buy with this in mind, Harry may see it otherwise. As to who, well lets see who goes first.
Seems to be have become trendy on the messageboards to put forward Harriman and Ehmer as having a shout for inclusion but that is pretty daft. Where is the logic in a league 2 youngster becomin part of a championship title contenders side. Odeminwinge goes against what we said we wanted to avoid and the wages are silly. A swap with Hoilett and maybe a case. Bolasie vs Adel. Do me a favour. Rhodes cost £8m last year and scored 80% of their goals this year. So unless your gonna start a whip round or collectging tickets for a pretty good tombola it just isnt realistic
peter i only put that in cos i think tarbs will be leaving otherwise there's no way i'd take bolasie instead of tarbs.
I have no problem with the younger players being given a chance to shine and starting a fresh with the elder ones, I would much rather have a young player who is a bit in experienced giving his all than a older pro not giving a monkeys arse and that has been the case a hell of a lot this season, most teams don't have to get out of 2nd gear to beat us and it is quite frankly embarrassing.
It's fun but far too early to speculate about next season. No reason to not do it though. Some of this is out of Harry's control, of course. Remy won't want to stay. I'm sure we'll get tempting offers for Tarbs from French clubs at least. Harry said he was offered £12 million for Samba didn't he? I'd love to see Doyle. I'd love to get rid of a few, SWP and Bosingwa to start with but who'd want them? Oh. And I disagree about Young. Did a very decent job. Good solid pro. I'd be happy to have him as our right back next season.
