Thanks for that w-y. Strangely enough, the problem righted itself today. I was working in a village 20 miles from here - oddly, a location with notoriously bad mobile phone coverage - and as I drove into the village, my phone suddenly started receiving text messages. It's still working here at home too - so who knows what the problem was. Totally beyond me.
