BB - Check for the signal strength on the display. Also drive (or walk) a few miles to another loaction covered by a different mast and see if you pick up a signal.

    Happy birthday Elizabeth...

Thanks for that w-y. Strangely enough, the problem righted itself today. I was working in a village 20 miles from here - oddly, a location with notoriously bad mobile phone coverage - and as I drove into the village, my phone suddenly started receiving text messages. It's still working here at home too - so who knows what the problem was. Totally beyond me.:(

It's blowing a gale down here now. Feeling the tension rise a little as the afternoon went on, I resorted to a bit of strimming. Hope the Hornets have an equally potent cutting edge tonight...

Already had a glogg or two, AK...in the dark as a result of a power cut lasting well into the second half. On another matter entirely the Bristish Museum is to host a major Viking exhibition in 2014. They are obviously expecting a lot of interest as tickets will be bookable from July this year.

Good morning from a wet, miserable Weston-super-Mare! Typical, I have the doctors to attend this morning, the hospital this afternoon and it's raining <steam>
