This is my alternative match thread. All season long and no bugger has ever put up the following information which for me is by far the most important piece of information.

The three pubs nearest the ground (The Trafford, Sam Platts and The Bishops Blaize) generally won't let you in if you wear away colours. The best bet is probably the city centre or along one of the stops on the Metrolink. Most pubs are about a 10-15 minute walk away from Old Trafford, in the direction of the Cricket Ground. There is also the Lime Bar in nearby Salford Quays. Good beer, quick service and good mix of home and away supporters'.
The official coaches will stop at Lowton as per usual. Once in the ground you can I'm pleased to say buy the usual pints and even wine too. Although wine is a bit poncy if you're not a woman.

As for the game, Man Utd will be the ones in red and we will be the ones in white. That's all you need to know really except that Fergie is retiring and the Black Eyed Peas have no plans on a replacement yet.

Feel free to discus or not if you hate my match thread. I've put the important bit up, where to have beer :D:D

Edit, at the request of one of our most valued and respected posters here is a link for after the game if you feel a bit frustrated or just plain horny :D only open if you're over 18 and a naughty boy.

I have to say Dilli that your thread is one of the ones that actually has some useful information on it !! some of the cut and paste bla bla bla match threads are totally boring. I like the way most of our Jacks have done them this season, they put something different into each match thread.

Yours coming from a man on the grounds perspective is a great effort.

Ive yet to see a thread that gives the three best whore house's around or near the ground..food for thought to those who are considering putting one up in the future <cheers>

No problem, you cant miss the street hookers over here they are almost always Black and ugly as fook and always come onto you as your trying to navigate your way home from the pub pissed !!

Im hoping for a tie in Holland in the Europa league, there are a few nogs in work with me that want to sample the Swans on their euro adventures.

onto the match, before fergie fooking off I was confident of a draw, im afraid it could be like the Alamo on sunday now!! especially if we play like we did 1st half against Wigan, which for me was the worst 45mins of football ive seen from us this season!

This and many other seasons I'm afraid. Play like that against this lot and they'll be borrowing the cricket scoreboard from the other Old Trafford down the road.

Terror, you have made it onto Dilli's lager lads list for that thread :D

The Springbok however is not away fan friendly, it is full of chavvy bellends.

    Thanks PGF <ok>

Gentlemans club you say ?? hmmm.... <laugh>

I fear for the team a little bit but it could have the opposite effect too, making the occasion bigger than the game, I guess we have to expect a defeat but before fergie was retiring I was thinking we could get a point at Old Trafford, I guess it depends on which 2 teams turn up on the day.

We have a chance to write a little bit of history by beating SAF in his last home game. Would be fantastic but Man Utd are coming out all guns blazing. We willneed to be very solid in the first half and maybe catch them on the break. I reckon every Manu player is going to bust a gut so there could be spaces to expliot as they all bomb forward. Would be chuffed with a draw but without a quality striker I can't see us scoring. 2-0 Utd.

Who knows maybe we will get a seasons worth of penalties at long last!
