Having had time to sleep on it, I now think it's possibly the right choice. At such a crucial time for the club, we need a strong character. Moyes certainly is that. I always dreaded playing against his team because they were so well organised and hard to beat. He won't allow himself to be bullied by someone like Rooney, and I even remember him trying to get past the 4th official in trying to square up to Fergie. Not many managers would do that. As for not winning anything, we only have to look to our biggest success this season to seek comfort. It was the first league title van Persie had ever won, doesn't make him any less of an incredible footballer. Djimi Traore also has a Champions League winners medal to his name. I'm now behind Moyes and look forward to the players he'll be targeting to bring in.

Though Perch? 5th is a perch? The fact he has gotten Everton above Liverpool the last two seasons must indeed be a plus for yernited fans
You have to think he must be getting the job or, with the lack of jobs available, he is risking disappearing into obscurity with Alan Curbishley.
hope Moyes bring in fellaini with him .. he love tall physical players and this could one of many signings in the way to UTD
Moyes would bring stabiloty and consistency, but the thing that worries me is hos style, I don't ever remember Moyes's Everton ever playing stylish exciting football. Maybe it os due to the quality of the players, but I don't want no dire defensive displays.
My only hope is apparently Gill is in Madrid meeting with Mourinhos.................Ronaldos, Nanis and many other players agent, Mendes. But truth be told its going to be Moyes so good luck to him.
A manager plays football to suit the players, you can guarantee he will play attacking style football with UTD
Tell you one thing, he better improve his laughable away record at big clubs. 45 games, not a single win. Now I dont think anyone would say Everton are rubbish and they havent been during any point in the past decade so why is a manager that is likely going to take over the toughest job in football incapable of taking a very good side to the better sides in the division and getting the 3 points? Did he simply write the games off ( the 4-4 against us would suggest not ) or did he not have a good enough team to get the points ( we are talking about the best teams in the land, at home of course ). He also averaged 8th for everton..........which is equal to the budget he had. So this talk of him taking Everton to a higher position than their spending warrants is bullshit. No doubting he did a good job but I wouldnt call it amazing. Is he the best man for the job? No, he just isnt. The best man is the man still their for a few more weeks. Nobody else comes close.
