As I said on the, errrr, Killie version of this, written by a hun or a ***** or both. The best Scottish performance in Europe is when I took home the inaugral Europe's Largest Penis™ trophy in beautiful Copenhagen in 2009.
Dundee Utd 5-0 Borrusia Moenchengladbach Tore them to pieces with THE best scottish performance in Europe I have seen.
I think I remember watching Aberdeen win the CWC AND the semi (I think the semi was highlights that were on late at night that I was allowed to stay up for). I watched the second leg of the Rangers Leeds game - I think I watched both legs but wasn't really paying attention for the first leg. Of the late night boyhood football things, I remember my dad waking me up to see the penalty shootout when, I think, Steau Bucharest won it with the keeper scoring the penalty and saving about 5. Without a doubt, the most depressing one to even be thought of in that list is the Rangers/Leeds one
Only time I was ever in the old hun's end. For games I was at 4-3 Juve might just pip it. Although, I've got really fond memories of 1-0 Man U, Barca this season, the 2-2 game against Liverpool, 3-0 vs Cologne, the last minute one against Shakhtar was mental and the tensest game I was ever at had to be the 0-0 with AC Milan (although the 0-0 against Bayern was up there) - the place was simultaneously crackling and collectively ****ting itself for a couple of hours. Funnily enough, the games I was at in 2003 on the road to Seville weren't that memorable - it all happened in the away legs.
Wasn't there - my dad was. I remember my dad the morning after we beat Real Madrid 2-0 in the QF in 1980. I was in primary 1 or something - he was hyper
Celtic beating Leeds Utd at Elland Rd 1-0 in the EC Semi Final. No one in the press down south gave Celtic a chance against the allegedly best club side in the world.
It wasn't just that we beat them but we BEAT THEM OOOT THE PERK. LISBON WAS UNQUESTIONABLY THE GREATEST PERFORMANCE AT ANY LEVEL BY ANY SCOTTISH CLUB OR SCOTTISH MANAGER.
