Kone has pace, trickery and a good shot on him. What's not to like. He would be a very decent addition.

I would take mcmanaman too but if Martinez goes to everton he will end up there too as he is a die hard toffee

To be fair I am sick of us signing relegated players but the sad reality is all of the above would walk into our team imo. Wigans biggest flaw is Martinez, who sets them up to lose as they just cannot defend.

As an attacking unit, they are as good as any in the league. Id sign all of them, Danny Rose and another pacy centre back. Job done. Lol

For all his negative press, I'd agree with this pal. A bit of fine tuning and being taken under the right leader would bring the best out in him, he looks decent. Obviously Brendan Rodgers will just ruin him and make him the next pathetic flop at Liverpool.

I concur. wouldn't touch Figueroa though. A Brucie one season wonder with nee bottle. don't need him if we get Danny Rose.

I don't mind signing relegate players as long as they are the 'right' players. Relelgared teams are often soo poor, that they can make certain players look decent.

Whatever players we target or buy will not be huge costs imo. We wont have a bottomless pit.

Free transfers and out of contracts will make up the main purchases and a couple of Italian hot shots on loan is my guess.

Danny Rose has to be a priority target and would take up most of the budget.

Wigan are still pissed off with us over Catts and Steve Bruce though, aren't they?

We might have trouble extracting any of them if Whelan still has the hump...

He wont have any choice if or when they are relegated. He is a rich bloke alright but doesnt have the kind of wealth that can pay EPL wages in the fizzy pop league. He will have to sell and for whatever he can get.

If Wigan go down I just don't see them coming back up, ever. God they could fall back through the leagues

Kone is in a relegation battle with Wigan and half of the premiership for a reason. Most of the players aren't good enough in my opinion which is why half the league struggles because its a rubbish league. I know we are no better but if Wigan go down, why are you lot happy buying relegated players when all I reading is the majority of people moaning that we have championship players and they aren't good enough so why would we want these? They are all a part of the average player merry go round and I hope PDC never buys a player from a relegated side. It should be club policy.

This is alwyas the problem. Buying relegation players tends to keep you as a relegation threatened club. We do need a new strategy regarding this.

I agree Cest, sick of it me and if we don't have a plan (like villa with youth) we will stay in this rut of buying crap players to get by. Does my nut in.
