Agree with pretty much all of this, Chelsea shaded the game because they dominated at times and should have got a 3rd to go out of sight before we equalised but we looked the more dangerous team after each goal was scored and had better opportunities to go 2-1 up but Chelsea defended well.

Huddlestone got skinned time and time again as I feared he might and I'm not saying the rest of the midfield performed particularly well but they were able to pressure the likes of Mata, Oscar and Hazard without immediately letting them go past them. I wouldn't particularly say it's his fault but it's a weakness and I didn't think his passing and set pieces compensated for that last night.

Speaking of setpieces, we conceded from another ****ing corner last night! How many's that in the last 10/15 games, I would've thought it was at least 7. I thought Benny did pretty well yesterday he disappeared at times but got back well and made some good tackles but I think we could've done with Vertonghen on the left and Caulker at centre back for the extra height it would've given us.

As for Ade, what a game he had. I'm sure we all still want rid in the summer, it's such a shame that he's clearly so talented but continues to waste it..

Yeah Dean definitely looked like a home referee last night, we didn't even get a freekick for a foul until the second half whilst the likes of Torres won freekicks when they slipped, had Ramires had anyone near him when he slipped when through on goal I'm sure he'd have given a penalty and red card to our defender. What summed it up though was when Hazard ran into Huddlestone behind the refs back, maybe it was a foul, I don't think they showed a replay but despite Dean not seeing it he saw Hazard on the floor appealing and gave a freekick. That was a mad decision, if you don't see it how can you give it? Ah well, that's the way the wind blows, it wasn't all that significant apart from the Bale one.

if Ade performs in next 2 games i'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt despite the utter shed load of **** he's dished up this season

Let's ignore the excellent advantage he played for your first goal when most refs would have blown for a foul.

Why is it always the refs fault when you don't win? Dean had a good game last night, linesman was a bit off in the 2nd half but it was a well officiated game made easier by the fact it was played by 22 players interested in playing football and not kicking the living daylights out of each other/conning referees into giving penalties and red cards.

The same Wigan game where Gomez was on a booking and got away with a studs up kick to Holtby's shoulder without so much as a dirty look from the ref?
    How lucky we were. <doh>

As for being stripped to the bare bones, didn't you have to leave a player or two out of your squad, due to having too many?
Malouda, a £13m signing on big wages, has been banished to the stiffs and you've got players like Essien, De Bruyne, Courtois, Lukaku, Piazon, van Aanholt and Bruma out on loan.
Some of them are more expensive than our first XI players and one cost more than anyone in Spurs' history.
My heart's not exactly bleeding here.

Can anyone tell me whether the first goal should actually have been a corner or not, please? The players' reaction to the move would suggest not, but I didn't see a replay of it.
I know that this is usually my area of expertise, before anyone says anything! <grr>

It's all history now though isn't it so whatever happened that should or shouldn't no longer matters. As for now well Chelsea play on Saturday and then again Wednesday after having played two matches in the last week, that's one hell of a schedule which could knacker them even more. They might yet buckle because of the pressure of matches.

Not sure of the corner but I felt the foul leading up to it shouldn't have been. Hazard blatantly ran into Huddlestone and the ref blew for a block which I felt was really soft, I think I counted 3 times where Bale had similar moments of being blocked off yet Dean never blew.

Never liked Mike Dean though, the pencil neck, geeky looking prick.

If you were Fergie you would have just guaranteed he never refs us again.

I wonder how many points his ref intimidation was worth to them each season....

Disagree DL. I thought the officials got a lot wrong last night, but for both sides, so at least they were consistently poor.

Although ade's goal was very hard to spot, he was still offside. Dawson was lucky to get away with as much as he did and should have been booked much sooner. Plus Walkers dive where we were lucky to get a free kick. - to name a just few bad decisions.

Then there was Vertonghen's "foul" which was a great tackle, (who was then booked) and some other free kicks you won where there was nothing in it. - to name a couple that didn't go our way.

None of them meant anything in the grand scheme of things, but there was definitely poor officiating on a number of occasions.

Have you wrote that right mate?, tbh I thought Sig's early season was stuttering, mid, I'd say a tad unlucky not to score, hit the post, had some last ditch blocks and keeper worldie's thwart some good efforts. His runouts of late have injected enthusiasm for some late goals, not just from him, but he has been instigating moves that others have scored from. :)

I didn't say he had an awful game but I felt you got more the benefit on a lot of soft fouls as much as you might think Walker dived, he was taking the contact and going down much like your players do and many others do. I also never said it was his fault either, look back at what I actually said about the game as a whole and the bit about the ref is barely a footnote and doesn't complain about the result at all.

Believe what you want though, it's those Spurs fans blaming the ref everytime they lose, of course <ok>

It isn't always the ref's fault when we don't win. It's the ref's fault we don't win when it's the ref's fault we don't win. I've chalked up the three points to Chelsea due to Ade being offside for the tying goal. I'm also aware Chelsea have been given 11 pens and conceded one, when it's 0 and 3 respectively for us. Halfway even that up and we'd have third locked up--even giving you the three points yesterday.
