Morning Y'all, Chris Dawson has penned a new 3 year deal at the club. The 18 year old starlet has risen through the youth ranks, and looks set to make an impact in the first team next season. At least it will get our average age down.... Are the likes of Poleon and Dawson going to be good enough to hold down starting positions next season? Who are going to be the main contenders next season for promotion to the Prem. Do you expect us to be in the mix, come next May? I've got my leg leg stapped up following a badminton incident on Tuesday . What injuries have occured to you, how did it happen, and in hindsight was it funny?
Morning Elland, hjope the youngsters come through and we find a couple more Byrams. Watch out for Ipswich, big Mick got them sorted at the back end, would like to think we shall be there, but massive changes have to be done. bad knock on my hip playing for Ardsley Celtic, lump of callous grew.....operation......football finished. Just gone through the matches we were on live out here last season, can you believe eleven times.....but we are not famous anymore
Morning all. Hope Dawson isn't one of McDermotts seven incoming players. Injured my groin about five years back playing 5 a side. Didnt bother with treatment for ages so suffered for about six months before finally getting it sorted
Morning all I remember playing badminton at school and it seemed really slow paced. My memory obviously let me down as I played it last year as I was fooking knackered! Last injury was probably in the uk fives. Bent my hand back after making a diving save. Thought I was going to be sick, had jelly legs and everything. Finished the match (15 mins each way I think so nothing to major) and couldnt get my glove off! Had it cut off in A&E and xrayed, I had pulled my tendons. I looked like I had one of those american style pointy foam hands Anyone else heard the rumours of a UAE (I think?) club chasing Diouf? No idea if theres any truth in it
Guinean club AS Kaloum claim they have agreed to sign El Hadji Diouf on a four-month deal, despite the Senegalese star having a year left on his Leeds United contract. Club President Boubah Sampil announced in Conakry, the largest city in Guinea, that the former Liverpool player was joining on a four month contract. Reports from BBC Africa claim that Leeds United are in the dark over the deal and have made it clear that Diouf still has a year to run on his contract at Elland Road. BBC Leeds reporter Adam Pope Tweeted earlier ‘#lufc have dismissed reports from Africa that El-Hadji Diouf is to sign a 4 month deal with Guinean side AS Kaloum.’ The club also reportedly reiterated the fact that Diouf was still a Leeds United player. El Hadji Diouf’s season ended in controversy in the final home game of the season, when he was sent off for gesturing towards the Brighton fans by grabbing his crotch. Brian McDermott made it public that Diouf must learn from his error and that any further instances would not be tolerated. http://www.idradebeleeds.com/latestnews/guinean-club-claim-to-have-signed-el-hadji-diouf/
Morning all Great to see Dawson getting a new contract. Picked up knock on the side of the leg when i was 18 playing American Football and I still feel it from time to time
Morning all We can make the top 6 if we bring in a couple of good wide players and a new centre back. I reckon McDermott will get the best out of the likes of McCormack, Lees, Byram, Warnock, Tonge and Austin and that a few more decent players will give us the edge. Worst injury was dislocating both knees (on seperate occasions) whilst playing cricket. Seeing your knee cap the other side of your leg is a bit worrying, a bit like seeing Phil Neville's face up close
Elland I burnt my leg on car exhaust getting shopping outta boot on Tuesday haha Blistered to **** lol
I have done my back in again. Seems to happen increasingly easily with old age. All I did was lift a couple of averagely heavy boxes. And based on recent track record, I could be in pain for a weeks - might stop me getting on my bike, which will be annoying as its good riding weather. Todays task will be to work out reasons why I have always deeply disliked and indeed hated David Moyes, on the assumption he does become the new rednose. The problem is I have always quite liked him, but if anyone has anyone can recall reasons to hate his ****ing guts, I'd be obliged - as it is clearly a requirement for anyone taking that position that I loathe and detest their very being.
Top six no use, still only outside chance of promotion. Team for auto promotion must be built. Too many people thinking in terms of top six being ok
Broken my left leg 3 time, right leg once, arm once, wrist twice, and nose once. Apart from that, all ok
Broken leg twice playing badminton. Various eye injurie with mixed doubles partner getting shuttle cock in the eye...
Flew a hang glider into a cliff in the French Alps while working as an instructor over there. Sustained minor brain damage, lost a tooth, gained a load of scar tissue in my face. Might have been funny if I could remember anything about it... Years later I broke my wrist in a motorbike accident on the northern ring road on the way to Harrogate. Got a cast put on it then moved to California for a couple of years and forgot about it. Getting arthritis in it now. Just about due another one by now.
