He used to live out the back from my mum and dad.

He scored the winner in the legendary 5-4 game at Brockville (best game I've ever seen).

Loads of reasons to have Whytey in <ok>

**** me, a 6 game ban for that?? Over here you'd be lucky if that got him a yellow.

Well he did **** some supporters out of it and smash the dressing room up too.... They recognise the material was not that durable.

That says a 6 year ban. ... he must have damaged seating as well - looks like he's definitely due to come back to Scotland.

    Alfie Conn <laugh> FFS!

I remember going to a Wednesday night game and Alfie Conn was on the bench. The crowd spent ages shouting for Conn to be brought on; in the second half, he was. Five minutes later, the poor bugger was crunched in a tackle and stretchered off.

BTW - is Danny McGrain really a cult hero? For my money he is a straight-forward super hero. An absolutely outstanding defender for club & (not often enough) for his country.

Yes, one of the good guys. Didn't he sign an extension to his contract just before he transferred, so Celtic got a hefty fee for him when he could possibly have walked for nothing a short time later? I suppose in a way, the memory of his seven years with Celtic was relatively overshadowed by the King of Kings rising star overlapping and continuing after he had left?
