Hopefully you will do your 4 goal comeback before they score and then you should keep a clean sheet. Good luck, if Wigan can get a few points we'll try to send the Mackems down.

Come on Vimhawk I see some of the points you are making but I don't want to be accused of sour grapes and that's what your comment comes across as although part of me thinks exactly the same!!:)
And on Newcastle, Arsenal match aside I definitely want you to stay up. We need teams like you in the Premiership to make it what it is.

As long as we equal Arsenals result in both our next matches and Newcastle need a result to stay up then who knows!

Chelsea were tiring towards the end according to one pundit which isn't surprising considering the amount of matches they've played. I posted that knackerdness might be a factor and we've spurned a good chance to win tonight. Villa,Everton and Benfica if you're tired can't be much fun.

I'm proud of our team and the fighting spirit it keeps displaying. I felt before the game that a draw wasn't going to be enough, and I still think so, but the team did so well to salvage a point (and keep Chelsea from icing it) today, (without the player whose absence has hurt them most this year) that I'm in the glass half full camp.

Well, I was wrong about quite a number of things in the Man City game, but this one my crystal ball seems to have been working fine: Ade has been back to his former self the last, what, six or eight games--is that four goals for him? Gylfi comes near a goal every time he appears, it seems (though mostly they've been just that--close). And someone looked like a statue surrounded by Chelsea's quick players.

I don't really blame AVB for starting Hudd, though. Here's the big game of the season, and sitting the veteran who looks to be in form in favor of an untested very young player might look bad to everyone.

  12. A draw may well prove not to be sufficient but the boys certainly worked hard to get anything from the game.
Ade was back to his best, but he has put in some decent/better performances in recent weeks.

Trouble was that we set up with a MF that lacked pace - and they picked holes through us which just added to some defensive chaos. Parker and Huddlestone were dire, Daws and Verts were caught out by their MF running through. Holtby worked hard, but Lennon didn't look fit and Bale was anonymous for 60 minutes.

I still don't understand why or how neither Parker nor Hudd were subbed - although to be fair, Parker did improve in the last 10 minutes. Hudds final freekick just about summed up his night.

I thought it was a fantastic advertisement for football personally.

We edged the first half and were definitely the better side for the opening 15-20 minutes of the 2nd but Spurs didn't deserve to lose that game.

We definitely looked tired and jaded towards the end which cost us but take nothing away from Spurs, few teams this season have been able to come back from behind twice against us.

There was a time where Spurs would come to the Bridge and fold every season but the last two matches here you've made it really tough and are definitely improving.

    Agreed on that DL <ok>

One of the best football matches I've watched all year, and so refreshing to see a competent referee and few contentious decisions.

Reason for optimism for Spurs fans from that, we were poor for much of it, but we're missing 3 key players and have been for much of the season. Adebayor might just have a future too...

Both sides were hindered. You were without a few key players and we were fatigued. It made for lots of mistakes and poor defending but still great to watch. The game hinged on the Ramires slip, we never really recovered from that and credit to Spurs they dug in and towards the end looked the far more likely side to win. AVB made some good subs but had he brought on Defoe instead of Dempsey we'd have really struggled.

A feeling of ambivalence for me as well. I thought we played well but at the same time don't think we did enough to warrant a win.

I see it as a point gained for Spurs and 2 lost for Chelsea.

Could prove to be pivotal. I honestly can't see Arsenal losing either of their last 2 games but I can see them drawing one. Had you lost today you'd have probably have been pipped to 4th on goal difference. Now if you beat Stoke, Arsenal have to win against Wigan or they are as good as in Europa next season.

I won't lie, I have hummed and harred over whether I'd want Spurs or Arsenal to get top 4 providing we got 3rd. I'm not really sure as I dislike both clubs (being honest) but I gained a newfound respect for the Spurs team tonight and the way you fought back.

I don't agree with LDL on a lot of things but one of the things he is right about for sure is that under AVB there is a fighting spirit that wasn't there before. In previous seasons you'd have caved and lost 3 or 4-1 (as I was expecting tbh).

I don't know who will get top 4, but put it this way, I'd rather have your last 2 fixtures than Arsenal's. Whilst I don't feel any of the 3 sides have the quality to make a real impact in the CL, whoever misses out, there will be no bitterness from me. Despite all of ours, yours and Arsenal's struggles we're all fighting to the very end, which as a fan is all you can ask <ok>

Bit surprised you expected 3 or 4-1 District as we've only lost 2 in 20 and you've been a tad inconsistent this season. I didn't know what was going to happen tbh but a win for us wouldn't have surprised me.

AVB imo didn't have a lost reputation to be regained after his stint at Chelsea because he wasn't there long enough to gain a reputation. He's doing okay and I agree with you about the fighting spirit.

How does it feel to have your luck turned around on you with an offside goal heee heee heee?

Doesn't bother us, we're still in the driving seat.

Also, would you really be surprised if we beat you 3/4-1 today? If only our players could finish..

I didn't expect 3 or 4-1 before the game but when 2-1 up we were by far the better side and you couldn't live with us for the first 15-20 mins of the half. I thought Ramires would score and couldn't believe it when he slipped.

I agree re: AVB because there's no shame in any manager getting sacked at Chelsea. For me, he's still unproven and I'll only judge him based on his Porto and Spurs career.

Not bothered about the offside goal as it was marginal and probably well deserved, in complete contrast to Liverpool at Anfield the other day.

Both sides can take positives. Hazard, Mata, Oscar and Ramires were sensational at times, they will only get better next season. Adebayor proved he can lead the line and vindicated AVB's faith in him, Spurs have struggled for creativity and the squad (IMO) has been stripped by Levy but with a couple more additions you can compete with the top sides.

Tired and Fatigued Chelsea 2-2 Injury Stricken Depleted Spurs

Either way it was a good derby and better than that pile of Northern sh*t served on Sunday. Two teams that tried to win.

If Mourinho comes back and we can cut out the silly goals conceded in the last 10 minutes we will probably be 10-12 points better off. Very much looking forward to next season <ok>

TMT can be too partisan when it comes to Chelsea. Spurs have only lost 2 in 20 which is commendable, but then, we have only lost 3 in 44 against them. I think a Spurs win tonight would have surprised most people given we were at home and had won our last 6 home league games but all in all it was a fair win and the gap remains at 3 points when it could have been a lot worse.
