  3. I think I'm on my own here but I think Moyes could be good for Man Utd. Its a lesser profile so lowers expectation etc. But he also knows the league and would have the support of the one man all their players respect too.

Don't underestimate how massive a step this is for Moyes though. Not club size but replacing "Sir Premiership"...can you imagine how quickly the pressure will mount with a run of only four or five bad games. The media might like Moyes now but a bad run and you'll hear the mumblings of "he's never even won a trophy, no European pedigree, how is he even in the job?" etc

He's just gone from being boring old Moysey who most respect but has had little attention to deal with to being a global name. It will be MASSIVE pressure during the bad runs every manager has. If he handles it then you will have to give him credit but this could be a massive mistake by United. It's a big gamble not going for a big name who can point to a trophy haul and say "give me time because I can deliver this cup or this league". Moyes can point to **** all except a few top 6 finishes <laugh>

You are right tbh even though you finish off with a laugh jibe at Everton's few top 6 finishes...BUT... Is he any more a gamble than Rodgers at LFC? sacked at Reading done nothing at Watford Just carried on what Martinez started and Sousa carried on at the Swans? That's not a piss take It Is a genuine comparison...When Rafa was at the helm and you were flying what would you have said If someone told you there would be an un proven manager at the helm In a few years time?? You would have told em to do one and that LFC would never employ a unproven Championship manager who got lucky and rode the Swansea wave Into the Prem?

As said Rodgers essentially failed at 2 championship clubs and rode the Swansea wave to the Prem at least Moyes has kept a skint side punching above their weight In the Prem... I don't think any LFC fans have foundation to take the piss tbh considering where you are and who Is managing you...

  14. Moyes isn't a big flash manager thats been around the world and worked with the worlds best players. To me, that says his feet are still firmly on the ground and he will see things in a 'every day guy' type of way. He will be firm but fair, realistic, honest and approachable to players but also his own man. He won't be bothered whether the player is Jermaine Beckford, Wayne Rooney or Robin Van Persie, he will treat them all the same, something that has helped Fergie be so successful.

Of course it could fail but thats the case no matter what manager a club gets. Everyone needs a break, DM has served a long apprenticeship at a premier league club. A club thats had little money but he's managed to keep them challenging the top four. Fair enough he's not won anything but he's not been at a club in a regular position to do so either.

Was I taking the piss? Rodgers was/is a gamble, of course. The rest of your post was unnecessary <laugh> we all agree...but it's a completely different kettle of fish as I'm sure you can see. Rodgers replaced a legend but Kennys departure (whilst wrong) wasn't a surprise in the same way as Fergusons let's be honest. Rodgers could yet be a total **** up for us. Why does that have any relevance to the pressure Moyes will be under except to underline my exact point?

It might have been a jibe at your top 6 finishes but it is a simple fact that as yet he hasn't won a god damn thing. How many times do you think that will be brought up if United lose 3 in a row or get knocked out of Europe early?

I felt It relevant as I took your post as a piss take of UTD's decision to appoint him when LFC you're club have made In Rodgers on experience terms arguably a worse appointment...(Which could turn out a great one I admit)

Of course he will have **** If he hits a bad patch but lets be fair that's going to be the case whoever takes over...That's one big seat to fill

Fergie will be upstairs at OT when Moyes takes over, there's no way Moyes hasn't had to agree to an 'united apprenticeship' under the guidance of Fergie before being given the job.

That wouldn't have been the case with Mourinho etc because they're their own men not yes men.
