  4. Like rats from a sinking ship...

Actually, the Titanic (on which PESKIE continually re-arranges the deck-chairs, according to one of his own supporters).

Do you really believe that Wilshere will leave this summer ?

Or are you joining HIAG's club of 'comments that come back to haunt you' too ? <laugh>

Wilshire, if he can learn to control himself, is potentially an outstanding talent. It would be only natural if Europe's top clubs had an eye on him. Depending on how impatient he may be, he like Bale, may be difficult to retain if his ambitions are not fulfilled.

No, but mainly because he's not done enough to warrant a move. He's been injured a lot, looked unfit at times and he's still got personal problems hanging over his head.
Not sure if there's any truth to the rumours about his 'recreational activities', but if I've heard them (from Arsenal fans), then I'm sure other clubs will have, too.

It's more likely that one or more of your centre-halves will leave, in my opinion. Sagna should too, as he's been largely crap.
Other than that, I can't see much going on there, at first glance.

All pretty speculative really. But I think the smart money will be on Bale being the player touted around the big European clubs this summer. You'll do well to hang on to him, the lad seems like a really decent bloke and may be one of those rare players in modern football who's actually got a sense of loyalty to his club . . .time will tell.

Sagna's had a poor season and to be honest, Jenkinson should be starting ahead of him now. We've also got a really good young RB in Hector Bellerin (another Barca product) who can also play RM, so there's potential for them both.

I agree that Wilshere hasn't done enough to warrant a move, unlike Bale who is firmly on the radar; Wilshere has had a decent first season back from injury, but still needs to improve his overall game. As for our CBs, although Vermaelen has had a mare this season, I think it would be a mistake to sell him, he's a quality player and we need more than two good CBs. The competition is good, once he finds his form again, he should be able to force his way back into the team (although the captaincy issue is problematic with him being out of the first XI)

Then you must hope that Wilshire has a similar sense of loyalty. It may not be this year, but if he continues to play as he can, the vultures will be circling.

Jenkinson played in the U21 game between our sides and got ripped to bits, by all accounts. Not sure he's ready for the first XI.

Vermaelen's been a liability, but it could've just been a poor campaign for him, I guess.
Koscielny seems to have attracted some interest, if you believe media rumours. Might take a big bid for him though, so he's probably not worth it.

He's been pretty solid when he's played in the first team. Not really a flair player, but he does the simple things well, gets up and down the wing and puts in a decent cross. He's an old fashioned wing back type of player.

Vermaelen's just had a poor season really, but he is a quality player and I'd expect him to be pushing for a first team place again soon, it's only because of the good form of Kos and Mert that he's been kept out of the team - so the competition is a good thing for us. After two or three seasons of some very dodgy defending, it finally looks like we've tightened up at the back.

    Just need a decent striker now . . .

I see HIAG's been making a tit of himself on the Utd board and the Chelsea board over the whole 'There's no way Moyes will go to Utd' saga. Telling people that his reasoning 'is not rocket science' and then hastily and ungraciously backtracking when it was all but confirmed that Moyes would join Utd.

He even then he had the gall to lecture somebody on here the other day about showing some 'humility'.

HIAG I can safely say that not only will you never be a Lawyer, you'll never be a rocket scientist either. But you do make a good Clown <laugh>

You mean he hasn't been banned from the Chelsea board yet? He must be losing his edge <laugh>

I see my clown stalker is back! This really is a first for me; I have been stalked by beautiful, yet deranged women, but never by a clown. How is this going to end? Will I end up in your basement, tied to a piss-stained chair, being spurted to death with your water-flower? I cannot deny, PESKIE, that I am scared.

By the way, Chuckles, did you honestly predict that Moyes would eventually end up as manager of United? And if you lie to me and tell me that you did (even though there is no actual proof that you did), do you honestly believe that he'll last, or that Mourhino will not, at some point in the future, be manager of United?

Nah. On second thoughts, don't answer that (and put your balls on the line), you just keep taking the piss out of those that you can never possibly emulate.
