Well a draw considering they were all over us for a lot of the time isn't terrible.
All we can do is hope Wigan or Newcastle do us a favour and we do what we need to do.

 

If Ade can play like that for the rest of the season then we've got a chance.

 

Could have just written this at the start and kept repeating it every 5 minutes.......

 

I'm happy with that.

It was always going to be very difficult.

Chelsea were the better side IMO, but we battled hard and competed well. Hopefully it'll be enough to keep the spirit and momentum going.

That's what now,only two defeats in how many matches? All in all we've had a good season winning two and drawing one against the top teams in the last few matches. Off side though which was lucky as was the own goal v Wigan. Let's get some good form going. if we can draw at Chelsea we can beat Stoke.

 

Disagree mate - we fought bloody hard especially in the 2nd half and deserved to get something from it - especially playing with 9 for most of the game!!!

 

Can see all 3 teams getting 70+ now. Unfortunate for 5th as 70 usually enough

 

All things considered, a draw was a good result for us. What price for an Arsenal slip up now?

 

And we got f all from the ref for most of the game - even when we got the free kick at the end he measured out about 7 paces!!!!

 

thought we deserved a win there tbh but fair play none the less you didn't give up. A point isn't the worst thing for us, another point and we're pretty much guaranteed top four anyway.

 

I seem to remember District Line slating me for suggesting it would take 70 points to get 4th this year, he said it would be less because "the league is weaker". It seems as though it may well be more.

 

In a way the pressure is all on Arsenal now. If they win their last 2 matches then fair play to them they deserve it.
Lets just make sure we beat Stoke first of all and see what happens.

Looking at the stats a draw was probably fair although they probably had the better of the chances.

Pardew basically has two games to save his skin so very hopeful that we get a point off Arsenal.

Once we went for it in the last 15 minutes with a bit of hoofing we looked favourite, the game opened up and went from end to end. Why did we **** about trying to out pass them in the middle of the park for the rest of the match. The first 20 minutes of the second half was frightening, if they had scored four or five then we couldn't have complained. Fortunately Ramieres fell over and Torres couldn't finish a pint let alone score a goal.

 

Here we go again. Why do they "deserve it" more than us? How many points have they got from penalties and that "corner" that we haven't got? How can a team that has got a load of points for free deserve it more than a team that has earned them - and not got any penalties (and today we saw Ade through onside but given offside; and Cole blocking off Bale who might have been through but got nothing). Why doesn't your own bloody team deserve it!!!

 

xtal,you once came back from 4-0 down to draw 4-4 so you can do things against Arsenal...................please do them again. You play Arsenal and we play your neighbours Sunderland. Oh ffs.
