Obviously if he is on loan that might not be the case.

I don't know about Curtis Davies, haven't really seen enough him to comment accurately.

Nick Powell is one that's been mentioned, and with the Man Utd connection we have that could probably happen. There was a couple of Twitter accounts suggesting that Man Utd will be looking to loan Zaha out again and we were mentioned as contenders for his signature. Although Twitter isn't entirely reliable.

News will slowly creep out about who we're going for, I just hope he doesn't make any stupid choices such as Phil Neville, Peter Crouch or Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Not sure about Curtis Davies but one Davies i'd like is Mark from Bolton, excellent player who can score goals from midfield and is all energy. The exact kind of player we need.

 

Both would be very good additions. Not that expensive either. Both would be well within our budget range. For a one year deal i would go after Kevin Davies who has been released by Bolton. Reports suggest he only earns 20k a week and has vast PL experience. Point to prove to many and just may helps us stay in the PL.

His wages are that of a Top 6 PL club. A number of clubs incl. lower PL ones have already been put off Rhodes due to his wages. Greed over ambition sadly it appears ??

Great news. McShane - Faye with rumours that Rosenoir and Dawson also getting new deals last night.
Faye will be perfect for the Stoke games and also when we come up against Andy Carroll(whoever he plays for)

So what ? Turner is a far better defender and has been playing in the PL since 2008. Davies has not. Fact.

Phil Neville is just what we need for our first year back in the PL.

i have seen darren bents name on a thread at 20-1 odds, it got me thinking. how amazing would be if signed any of these 3 players signed as the two new strikers we need next season: bent, austin and le fondre. if we had a strikeforce of bent/austin or le fondre/gedo/prossie/fatty fryup/aluko (able to fill in there if needed). i would fancy our chances of staying up
